Thank you for your time and help, Shahriar! Your code has solved the issues. I’ve downloaded over 20 files so far, and no warning.

Thanks again.

Same issue for me as well. I’ve just deleted front.css and bootstrap.css for now until I have more time to properly edit the files to remove the coloured background for the download button.

Hello,

That’s a shame. Thanks for the offering discounts on another addon, but I won’t need any addons.

I’ll continue without renewing.

Kind regards

That’s a shame. It’s the only thing stopping me from renewing for another year.

Thanks anyway!

Hello, I have been able to update everything.

I wasn’t sure what you guys meant by “Serialized”. So I did some research and learnt;

"_wpdm_files', 'a:1:{i:0;s:84:"

s:84 relates to the amount of characters in the URL. “http://www.hello.com” for example, has 20 characters, so the result would be “s:20

Anyway, I was able to use Notepad++ to replace all URL’s and now everything works.

Kind regards

Updating URLs used to be an easy job as they had their own Database Folder “ahm_files” or something like that. Now, everything is in “postmeta” which has made updating links pretty hard as you have them serialized, which I don’t understand what that means.

To update the links, I would literally download the Database file, open Notepad++ and dona find and replace. This method works the best and quickest!

Kind regards

Is there an addon or something that I can do to change them easily and quickly? I have almost 4000 attached links and files ๐Ÿ™

Hey Shaon,

I’m still looking to change all the URLs and am unable to find a solution.

I can easily change all URLs via the postmeta, however, the attached URL’s in “Attached Files” stay the same. (The attachment below shows the one I’m talking about.)

How do I change the “Attached Files” URLS as well? That stored somewhere, surely?

Many thanks

I’m afraid CSV doesn’t work, not for URLs. I don’t import files to my server, they are stored on an external server. So bulk adding packages that only contain URLs doesn’t work.

Originally, I simply opened the DB in Notepad++ (File too large for Dreamweaver to handle properly) and then find and replace the urls. Used to work perfectly. Now all it does is replace everything except the “Attached files url”

Yeh, sod that for a laugh. I have over 3500 urls, and I’m not going to sift through every ID and every post changing everything, I’ll be here until 2029 by the time that finishes. CSV Import never works anyway, despite mentioning it to you guys by many people, and nothing gets done.

You product is going downhill mate, it worked fine when the files where on it’s own DB, I don’t understand why it’s been made more complicated.

See ya.

Is this something that takes a long time? Would you be able to assist with this?

Also, I remember the files used to have it’s own DB. Why was this changed? I used to be able to update URLs with ease. If anything, you guys have only complicated the issue. With reasons I assume of course.

Kind regards

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately that makes no sense at all. Where do I put the code? What url do I put in the “your-file-url” part? Each and every file url? I have over 3500 urls!

Looking forward to your reply.

Many thanks.

Nope. Doesn’t work. Not for packages with URLs to external files anyway.

Hi Shaon, I’m sorry but I’ve never given people FTP access. I’d rather add it manually than give out my FTP details. It’s nothing personal, I’m simply not comfortable giving those kind of details out to anyone.

Thanks anyway.

Hello,

Ok I’ve deleted the source URLs and moved them to the files column, and still no luck ๐Ÿ™

Hi btjanes, thanks for your reply.

For the record, my files are stored on a different server to my website, and so I add files by URL and not by uploading files via the Download Manager. In my CSV filer, I have already put the full URL in the “Source URL” column.

Kind Regards
