Sorry not clear about the issue you are facing. Where you want to change the effect? Wpdm is using Bootstrap. So all the default effects and designs are bootstraps. WPDM is nothing to do with the designs.
Thank you.
yes sure. This problem was occurring as your website name not using “:” at beginning while storing the link. Changed the condition.
In Free version of download manager plugin, to remove prompted for a password you need to remove select password locked and even clear the password field too.
thank you.
Its working now.

Extremely sorry for your inconvenience. In last update we have improved code base and using namespace, which require php v5.3.0+ ( http://php.net/manual/en/language.namespaces.rationale.php ), may you please update your server php version, however if that is not possible, you can get back the previous version from here https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/download-manager.2.8.3.zip .
This feature is available in pro version. Where You can enabled auto-approve from Admin panel.
wpdm pro don’t have any file size limit.
By the way, two PHP configuration options control the maximum upload size: upload_max_filesize
and post_max_size
. These options can be set in your server’s php.ini
configuration file so that they apply to all your applications.
As the design is for the password option for package, its located in download manages libs/class.PackageLocks.php
I just adjusted the design in that file.
Hope your problem is solved.
thank you
You need to follow the steps to customize
You need to copy the tpls/page-templates/
dir from download manager plugin dir to active theme dir. (This is required to do in-case you want to update your plugin later the change wont be effected on design)
Then rename it copied tpls
dir ( which is in your theme dir ) to download-manager
Now edit page-template-default.php
in download-manager dir ( which is in your active theme dir )
If you unable to solve the problem please provide me your FTP Login credentials.
Sorry, its not clear not you are asking for. Please can you elaborate more. i.e. if you facing any problem please share screenshots.
Thank you.

Its working.
Please can you be more clear about whats not working.
Sorry, dint see that before.
Usually pop-up issue is due to bootstrap present in your theme which may conflict bootstrap in wpdm. Try disabling Bootstrap js with Downloads->Settings->Basic->Misc Settings.

Actually you need to control it from “Allow Access” field under file settings when creating/editing a file, select “All Visitors” if you want to allow everyone to download the file .
Sorry for late reply. Cant login, getting the following output.
ACCOUNT PENDING: Your account is currently not active. An administrator needs to activate your account before you can login.

Your template is overriding the bootstrap default CSS. Which is causing the download password view to hide.
Please provide me the login info to check the issue for not showing download icon (using private reply)

Sorry, for your trouble.
Seems like its not WPDM issue. Your normal post also cant access any images.
This issue is most commonly caused by wrong file permissions. Your uploads directory should have correct file permissions otherwise WordPress will not be able to store your files in it or sometimes may not even display files from the upload directory. To set correct file permissions for your uploads directory, you would need a FTP client, like Filezilla.
There is nothing to do in Download Manager plugin.
You can try using w3 total cache http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ instead
Thank you
