Yes, I am guessing so, the template maybe creating the issue or if database info update manually also can create this problem. If possible you can reset the database of WPDM thus the issue may get resolve. Please kindly check.

It is looping through by WP_Query() and for it by default it is sorting by,
orderby = 'date'
