uid stands for User id, if you want to assign an author, you can, otherwise, you are also able to skip it. And for the issue, when packages update it changes the status to draft, it may be a permission issue for automatically published. otherwise, if possible, you are also able to make a change draft to publish from the WordPress menu for bulk apply. please check.
