As an update – I purchased a license and the Download Packages still show a ‘File Not Found’ – single files still download okay. I have tried quite a few settings to try make it work again.
I also just tried to post a message in the PRO forum but it seems to be missing.
I should add nothing has really changed on our end – just a combination of PDF files, zip files, some images – all dragged and uploaded to the server. Perhaps a WordPress version has thrown it off with the version of Download Manager Pro (6.3.6) and that has been fixed in later versions?
Recieved my first set of ‘guest’ downloads, but then the same user correctly registered on the 4th download she made – so they were logged in, and the IP matches, but we are getting ‘guest’ for the first few downloads they did.
I’ll follow up if this happens again – first time so far out of 20 users and 83 downloads.
Correct – so because it is within an iframe, I think we’d have to edit code within the plugin files themselves, which I want to avoid as each plugin update will require adding them again.
YAY! Awesome.
Agreed.
Expired downloads should be moved to Draft or Trash in the backend, allowing us to decide what to do with the package after.
From that point, we can either renew it ourselves with a new expiry, or delete the package.
This is much better for automation – very few people want an expired file to just say ‘expired’ but still be searchable and visible, right?
Oh! Okay cool – I just read ‘Note that, File Cart will not work for locked/private packages.’
I’ll buy it and try it out on my system. If that solves my needs, I will be so happy!
Hey Shahjada – nice additional plugin! That would be a great feature to add to Download Pro – especially as it’s been out since 2016 and not updated for 2.5 years ๐
I noticed it will not work with Email Lock option selected though – and that’ is my main desire, so that people can choose files and then still submit their name/email to download.
Example of what I mean:
Hello Nayeem. Thanks for your reply.
I understand how to change with CSS – but my point is that the modal popup is in an IFRAME <iframe id=”wpdm-lock-frame”>. This iframe then loads bootstrap.css and front.css again.
So when I add CSS to WordPress > Customize – the rules don’t get picked up.
So my question is that do I have to add CSS directly to the plugin folder such as the assests/css/front.css file for them to be recognized? I’d prefer to leave the plugin folder untouched for updates, if possible.
Thanks.
