Well, that’s disappointing. I had saved myself considerable hours of work using the existing files in the media library. Now I have to go back and redo that work.

Is there no way to get this changed for the next release?

My hosting provider (Dreamhost) helped me resolve this issue.

The solution was:

In your wp-config.php file, add this line above the “That’s all, stop editing!” comment:

You will also need to create the wp-content/temp folder if it does not already exist
