We have moved to the Pro version however this was done with a colleague’s WPDM user account so it does not reflect on mine.
The question I have is this: I would like for all of my documents (over 1000 docs) to use my newly created link template, however I can only see that the link template has to be manually assigned to each individual document. Is there a way to force all the documents to use the new link template without selecting the link template in each individual document? Or is there a way to edit the default template so that all the documents will show the new link design?

You can use the below add-on in order to set the new link template on all of the documents at a time.
Alternatively, Based on the above-mentioned scenario you can edit the default link-template as well by following this so that it applies to all default link templates.
However, for the PRO version, you can edit a template easily by following this.

I think I will try the second option first to try and avoid increasing the cost of the project.
