This error will occur when I want to activate the Download Manager plugin.

Please make sure that you are using the latest version 3.2.11 of the WPDM plugin.
If, still the problem exists then please share your website URL and admin login credentials in a private reply in order to debug the issue properly.

Please update your WordPress version which should solve the issue.

No I want to install plugin in my current wordpress version I don’t want to update it. Please give me a solution of install in the current version.

I want to open up a modal in which I want to collect user email i.e when users wants to download file from my website. A modal will open and ask user to enter his/her email to download the document. Please let me know is this possible for me to add custom code.

If you want to collect user email with the free version of WPDM then please use the below add-on.
Form Lock – Ask users to fill a form to get access to download
However, with the Pro version of WPDM, you can achieve the above-mentioned functionality easily by following this in the package settings section and using the below add-on.
