Hi there,

This may seem ridiculous but I can’t find how to display a directory of all downloadable files to site visitors.

I’ve set a dashboard page at https://xiros.dnademo.co.uk/reading-room/ but this simply displays my own download history (when logged in to the CMS) or a standard WP login page, if not logged in.

I was hoping to display a download library to all visitors, without the need for registration. Surely this is a feature of the plugin and I’m missing something simple?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Dave

Hello @riflebird,

Greetings and Welcome to the support forum.

To display a download library without login to all visitors, you may use the below shortcode.

[wpdm_all_packages] – List all downloads in tabular format in a page

However, I will recommend you to use WPDM Directory Add-on instead. I recommend this because you will get more control and UI customizations than the shortcode one.

WPDM Directory Add-on

I hope you understand.

Hi Humayon,

Many thanks for the reply and solution.

The shortcode works fine but, as you say, is limited in display options. The premium add-on presumably provides much more display options (grid / image layout for example).

Or should I just buy the pro version of the plugin which, presumably, does the same?

Many thanks,

Dave

Hello there,

Thank you for your reply.

If you use the shortcode, it doesn’t require the Pro version.

Also, with the free version, the WPDM Directory add-on will work.

If you check the Directory add-on page, you will find all the available demos at the bottom of the page before the comments section. Please check before proceeding with the Directory add-on whether it meets your requirements or not.

WPDM Directory Add-on

I recommend going with the below WPDM full-access pack instead of the single purchase.

Full Access Pack

Let me know if you need further assistance regarding this.

Best Regards
