Dear Support-Team,
We have been using the free version on our websites for several years, and we would like to know which of our documents are the most important for our users. Therefore, I checked the number of downloads behind each document and the statistics in “History and Stats”.
But it seems to be wrong values:
In the following some examples:
1st example:
2023 = 335,162 downloads in total till now -> that seems more than unrealistic because we have never had so many events with our users in our website stats.
2nd example:
2023, July 21st.: 470 downloads in total with very active users till midnight (nearly each minute something is downloaded from our pages)
Also, countings are behind all documents we uploaded to the download manager.
In the following an example:
1) manual published on 29/08/2019 (nearly 3 years ago): was downloaded 45,045 times -> that would mean, on average, 41 downloads of this manual per day -> also a very unrealistic value and not comprehensible with our website statistics.
As I understand from an earlier message in your support forum, the free version doesn’t support download counting. Is that right?
But in this case, why does the plugin show me wrong values instead of no values?
Nevertheless, anything is counting from your plugin because I can see the following downloads in the download manager stats:
Download Datum User IP Browser OS
Package 1 1 24. July 2023 12:59 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Unknown
Package 2 1 24. July 2023 12:55 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Unknown
Package 3 — 1 24. July 2023 12:52 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Unknown
Package 4 — 1 24. July 2023 12:51 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Unknown
Package 5 — 1 24. July 2023 12:51 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Unknown
Package 6 — 1 24. July 2023 12:47 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Unknown
Package 7 — 1 24. July 2023 12:46 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Unknown
Package 8 — 1 24. July 2023 12:46 Guest Unknown Google Chrome Windows
Can I trust any of these values?
Best regards,
Kathleen
