Hello,
I just bought the Advanced Access Control add-on and I can assign to the single files the names of the members who should be able to download them.
But the members do not see any file when they go to the web page listing the files, so they can download nothing at all.
The field with members category (Administrator, Subscriber…) works well though.

Thank you for your help, that’s great. I see that now the files appear.
I also see that the files that a user cannot download appear anyway but with the phrase “access denied”, instead of not appearing at all (like it happened before the update). I would much prefer the previous behaviour. Is there a way to restore it?
I am curious to know what the problem was but if the explanation is long please don’t bother answering me on this point, I don’t want to steal your time.

Hello there,
Since you were using Pro before and switched to the free version that’s why the behaviour changed.
To hide everything while the user is not allowed requires WPDM Pro. Here’s the reference screenshot: https://prnt.sc/TUog-VuF1kyo.
