Hi,
Currently, it is not possible using a template. But you can copy the direct download link from all downloads page in the admin area. Each package has a button to generate a direct download link.
After copying the link you can attach it to any text you want.

Thanks.
I want to show all download-files without the filter section above the list.
Do I have to solve it with CSS or is there a checkbox for this?
The file *DID* exist in the amazon bucket and it does not have special characters. The issue is it works for a while and then the key expires. It means I have to go an check all my downloads and fix anything that has broken. I have fixed the issue by re-adding the file from the bucket in the system so I can’t send you to a package url at the moment. It’s a KEY expiry… not a document issue.
Please check your category settings from Downloads Categories page. Maybe users are getting access from there. Uncheck All Visitors from category settings and save the updated option.

We have already restricted downloads to Subscribers, Customers & Administrators. Can we not do that? We do not have All Visitors checked at all and it still allows you to download if you are not logged in.
Everything is now connected, and downloads working. However, there is another issue that comes up. When I go to pay for a single download, the credit card transaction goes through smoothly. But then the user is taken to a page that shows the order id, and a blank email address. When I type in the email address, I get the following error message:
Session was expired. Please try again
How do I get around this error, and why does the user see this screen at all? How do they get to the page where they can actually download the PDF they just paid for?
You can do it easily by restricting downloads only to subscribers. Remove ‘All Visitors’ from package access settings and add ‘Subscriber’ instead. Then only logged in users will be allowed to download the files.

Do you want a link to the package details page from the all downloads table? I have replaced title
with page_link
in all packages shortcode to add the details page link in package title.
I have installed the Prime and Download Manager Pro. Also created a custom homepage to match the demo style. You can start adding your downloads now. Let me know if you have a further query.
You have the Pro version now.
I have updated package setting and lock option of this package http://it-ebs.co.uk/download/gdpr-data-map-hr-without-software/ Allow Access is set to All Visitors and activated email lock from Lock Options Tab.
Collected email address are listed in Dashboard Downloads Subscribers page.
Now users will be asked to provide their name and email address before download.
The [wpdm_frontend flaturl=0]
shortcode adds option to create new packages from frontend. You can set allowed user roles from WPDM settings.
And the form shown in the frontend when creating package can be modified to match your requirements. Please check the template doc for more info https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/template-files/
You can modify the category page partially using the settings from Downloads Settings Frontend Category Page Options
Another option is creating category archive template file taxonomy-wpdmcategory.php
inside your theme directory. This requires coding experience.

1 ) Maybe user doesn’t have access to the package. Please check package access settings.

2 ) We will fix it in next release. For now, you can use another page template. The code is shown in Single Column, Flat page template.
3 ) Yes, you can use category shortcode to downloads from the selected category or categories. Or you can use all packages table to show all downloads.
Use TinyMCE Button add-on ( https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ ) to insert shortcode easily.
I’m using WP All Import to import downloads. Everything works fine for me except I’m not able to attach downloads to the post. I upload them into FTP to download manager folder. I contacted WP All import and got a reply:
“You will need to identify how the download manager plugin stores the download information. If it’s in regular custom fields or
the data is stored in a more complex manner.”
Could you help me to answer these questions.
Thank you.
Hi, I have a problem with the downloads. I had already contacted you in the past and you had solved the problem, but probably due to an update the problem occurs again. In the various articles, such as this: https://designpress.it/julia-marmi-presenta-al-cersaie-i-vincitori-del-concorso/ files can only be downloaded by authenticated users. After authentication, however, the site leads to another page, but I need it to remain in the pages where it is located and that allows the user to choose which files to download.
Hello!
I currently use Member Mouse for my site’s membership.
I have two membership levels (standard & premium).
The difference for the two levels of membership are the files they are able to download.
For example, the standard membership would allow all members to download social media graphics in the JPG format. I have all of this set up and created downloads for all of those.
However, the premium membership, I want to add an additional download option as a Photoshop file for each graphic.
What’s the easiest way to do this? I would prefer to just add an “download option” to each file for that specific membership if that is possible.
You can get the download link from All Downloads page and attach it with inline words. Each package has a Generate Download Link button. Retrieve the master download link from there.

Thanks.
Another element, which might help or not : I just tried creating another package, using the ‘explorer’ functionnality to use the same document as one of the package that works – and it works : it’s the package called ‘Encore un essai’. This one displays.
I would thing it has something to do with the database, and an eventual corruption, but the downloads all work on the original wabsite…
One last thing : everything was working fine as of last Thursday. The only modifications after that were the addition of two plugins (Instagram Gallery, WonderPlugin Carousel) and a couple of css changes. I’ve already tried to deactivate the two plugins, to no avail.
I really do not know where to look, or what to test…
Hello,
I have a very weird issue, and I cannot find where the problem is. Here it goes : I have build a website for clients with documents. Until today (as far as I can tell), everything was dandy. But, suddenly (I’m not too sure of when it happened), I cannot see the individual packages, except for four of them.
And for these ones, everything works : the custom templates, etc, etc. They are all in the same category, and are all pdfs.
But other documents, also pdfs, and simple pictures (png), heavier and lighter in weight, just give out a blank page… And Wp Debug doesn’t say anything. The packages have exactly the same configuration in terms of templates, who can see them, etc.
Even weirder, I can download everything fine with the link templates… It’s only when I want to see the single package page that… nothing happens.
And as far as I can tell, nothing I’ve done justify such a change.
I’ve also tried adding new packages : I cannot see anything, event though the link template work perfectly (downloads also), whatever category I try to put them in.
It’s so weird that the only way I think for you to realize what happens it to go take a look… Could you please ? I’m at my wit’s end. I’ll give you the info in private.
Cheers,
You can use directory add-on to show all your downloads with search and filter option.
Here is the demo https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page-default/
You can create four different roles for 4 years. And assign a role to the student based on the year. You use either category or package access settings. But using the package setting makes more sense. When creating the package just assign the roles.
Hi Peter,
Connection to the internet is required to verify the key. However, as your setup doesn’t allow it you need to install a pre-verified copy of Downloads Manager.
Please create a new ticket so I can send you a verified copy.
Thanks.
Hi,
Before the CSV import upload all files to S3 bucket and point the S3 URL of the file under files
column in CSV. If you attach a sample S3 file manually form edit package screen you will get the URL which you can use to get URL of all other files.
WPDM does not copy files to your own server. All downloads are served by S3.
I have attached a sample CSV, hope this helps you to understand the process.

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
Here are the steps to upgrade to Pro,
1 ) Deactivate and delete the free version. You won’t lose any data/downloads
2 ) Download Pro version here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3 ) Install and activate Pro
Thanks.
