Yes indeed, I am talking about Downloads > Categories > View Of a Single Category. So after choosing a category, there are all the download packages of this category. Hope that helps

On our page every download package has a thumbnail image and the packages are categorized from 1-22. When choosing a download in detail the display of the thumbnail is okay but the thumbnail also is displayed when using the categories. Since there are a lot, by clicking on a category all thubmnails of all downloads are loading and this is too much for our server. My question is how to avoid that thumbnails are displayed in the categories/lists?

Is there an easy way to export all downloads and WPDM settings from one site to another? I used WP All Export before but it wasn’t perfect and didn’t export the settings.

We are having the same exact issue except our users are not downloading PDFs but driver files. The issue is our logs report massive resource usage by this plugin. A list of downloads generated, for example, by wpdm_all_packages, takes up to 40 seconds to appear.

However the login page has 3 forms on it: https://staging.heskins.com/login
Also, the Downloads page (https://staging.heskins.com/all-downloads/) is still linking the logins to wp-login.php and they are still not working.

That’s what’s confusing. The link you posted works but if you go to: https://staging.heskins.com/all-downloads/ and click on that Login link while not logged in. It doesn’t do anything but if you right click on open in a new tab it works and opens https://staging.heskins.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https://staging.heskins.com/download/h3512-surface-primer-no-toluene/
However, we would want this to work and to link to the DownloadManager login link not the WordPress link. Which I assume would be:
https://staging.heskins.com/my-downloads?redirect_to=https://staging.heskins.com/download/h3512-surface-primer-no-toluene/

Actually, Can we setup a bespoke login page for Downloads rther than sending them to the main login page? This is something that we need and might fix the issue?
When the system tells someone to click the login link to download, the link isn’t working? It works when yuou right click and open in new window though?

We are already looking at alternatives, as this flaw is a BAD one.How can your developers not have thought about this?!
As a “Manager”, you manage people or you manage the Downloads. You cannot manage the downlaods on this website at all.. as NO way to see who has what assigned to them.It’s a good plugin, but with this flaw, is it a BAD one.

Problem there.
All downloads/packages assigned to a user is listed in User Dashboard My Downloads Tab
If you want, you can create a special page using shortcode[wpdm_my_downloads login=1 role=”0 or 1″ template=”template-id” cols=”1 or 2 or 3 or 4″ cats=1]or[wpdm_my_downloads login=1]to list all packages assigned to a specific user – this shortcode is useful when you want to create a user-specific download area or members area.This tells me how the user can see their downloads. To be able to Manager our Downloads, and view “Who has what” we would need to have you guys build that?
Oh come on.
This is NOT a download manager, if you cannot Manager who can view what, from a list.
Surely… surely… SURELY there is an admin page, where we can list all users, click the user, and in there, is a screen that shows everything assigned to them?Come on… must be.

Hi everyone,
I created a Python script to automate file uploads using the REST API (I generated the key in the plugin) with this fantastic plugin. Everything works perfectly except for one issue.
Despite the user having the necessary permissions, after automatically uploading the files, the downloads don’t work unless I manually enter each automatically uploaded download and click “update”. I have realized this happens because the master key is not generated.
Is there a way to resolve this without having to manually enter each download and click “update”?

So right now, if you have 200 users, and overall around 5000 downloads spread across these users:The website owner has literally NO MEANS to see what downloads are assigned to user number 50?

The slight problem is, when someone logs in to handle all the uploads for the users, they go to the backend. Thre is no backend screen that shows all the Packages/Downloads, assigned to each user.
From what you are sayingw e need to create a link in a custom menu, that goes to a page using your Shortcode.
What exact shortcode do we need on a page, that will show ALL download Packages, and then be able to filter by user? (or search by user)?

I’d like you to be a little more elaborate on your reply please.
So in short, where we CREATE the packages and store them, there is no way to filter them by user to whom they are assigned.So we have to create a page for admins, with a shortcode that they allows us to view ALL downloads assigned to each user? It’s not making sense to me.
If I post a login as a private reply can you setup the page on our site for me, so I can see what you mean? It’s basically a list of ALL Packages created and then a means to filter by user.
