Hi @ all.sorry but i don’t understand what my problem is.I have installed the Download Manager Pro, paste the serial, all is ok.Then i put 4 test downloads in the library.i put it in my post with the shortcode: [wpdm_package id=5]Then, the Entry is show but ANYTIME a f… ing Timthumb Problem Icon comes up.Again and again and again.What i have to do ?

Hi there i solved the issue, just do the following.go to you plugin file name called /plugins/download-manager/and open the file called download-manager.php the go to the following line of codeadd_menu_page(__(“Download Manager”,”wpdmpro”),__(“Downloads”,”wpdmpro”),$access_level,’file-manager’,’AdminOptions’,plugins_url().’/download-manager/images/download-manager-16.png’, 6); change it toadd_menu_page(__(“Download Manager”,”wpdmpro”),__(“Downloads”,”wpdmpro”),$access_level,’file-manager’,’AdminOptions’,plugins_url().’/download-manager/images/download-manager-16.png’,”);—————————————–notice at the end of the line i removed 6 and replace it with ‘ ‘ its set the menu_position to default so no more headachs……….Cheers Kyle. from sa

But wont this remove it from all lists that I use, and as I have used the ‘dot’ for lists on my site which i need. At a push I can put up with the ‘dot’ its a little annoying, but the main issue is that the icon are not appearing???

I have just updated to version 3.3.3 and noticed that I am getting some strange things happen.

I have attached a link to a page that I have setup with a download named ‘RSGB Callbook’, here are the problems:

1. There is a ‘dot’ appearing at the start of the download box, this appears outside of the box in the top left hand corner in Firefox (17.0.1), and in Chrome (23.0.1271.95 m) it appears inside the box in the top left hand corner, how do I get rid of this ‘dot’???

2. In firefox, the icon for the download does not appear at all, and in chrome it just displays a small image that is nothing like the one that I have selected, I have tried to change the icon, but nothing is displayed in either browser, this did work fine prior to updating, how do i rectify this???

3. Underneath the word ‘test’ there is ‘…’ , is there a way to get rid of this???

4. The View Details option! how do i keep the ‘Bootstrap’ layout and remove the option to ‘View Details’

Any help would be much apprected…

I too am having the same issue, in the free version there was a short code icon you could select to insert your download packages, once i installed pro there is no icon, and I can’t figure out how to paste template downloads into my pages? Please advise, i have sent user info and login for you to check out.

I partially solved the problem to this issue (at least in my case).
Others may be experiencing the same thing…so here’s what I found:

A handful of hosting providers now have a WordPress QuickInstall feature.
Sometimes they bundle in a Cache plugin when you do a fresh QuickInstall.

HostGator, for example, now includes the WP Super Cache plugin.
If activated it may be causing an issue with the Download Manager plugin.
I have not tested this out with WP Super Cache but I was using something similar called W3 Total Cache.
I know a ton of WordPress sites use it as well…( 1,332,719 downloads from the WordPress Plugin Directory)

Disabling this plugin allowed me to download files greater than 50MB in size.
They were uploaded via ftp and then added to my files page by using the Download Manager category shortcode.

Testing must be done in order to figure out where/how they are interfering and how to correct it.
I’ll post an update if I find anything.

Hi, I have a completely separate page (not related to the plugin) that I’m calling “Downloads” (www.mysite/downloads) and it is showing another page on the site “About Us” even though the URL is for Downloads. This only happens when the plugin is active. Can you please advise? Thanks!

1. Download latest version of WordPress Download Manager Pro from same location in orders page.
2. Unzip the package
3. Upload files to /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/ using ftp
4. login to wp admin
5. deactivate download manager
6. re-activate download manager
7. Download and install copy to pro add-on from here http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/copy-to-pro/
8. Go to wp-admin Downloads Settings Copy to premium tab, and you will see the list of files you create with free version, check all copy
9. and done!

When downloading a large file, the speed is fine for somewhere between 20% and 60% of the download then it completely freezes.

I been running in to this more and more. Now that it seem that I have all my downloads working with the Download Manger Pro Version 3.3.2 I starting to have this problem.

Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

# widget: the problem is, that I can not change the format of the list created. If you have a look at the page glory.cgdu.de you’ll see, that below the video-center there is the widget. It presents the last five downloads in two collumns. I don’t want that, I want it in a row and for that reason I need to take out the ul (unordered list) and li (list item) tags – I guess.

# search: if you go to glory.cgdu.de/downloadfs you’ll see, that the search is performed (without any arguments) as the page is loaded. That returns “all packages”. This doesn’t really makes sense, but if that is normal just let me know what the customization would cost and then let’s go for it.

# the code displayed with the audio player: if you go to http://glory.cgdu.de/download/unser-fundament you’ll see that next to the buttons of the audioplayer there is a piece of code (/is/htdocs/wpFZSTQAHIUX/www/cgnew//mp3/EB2012/12 09 23) If that is standard then please let me know what a customization would be and let’s go for that as well …

I have contacted your support several times with the issue that the search function in the WPDM directory addon does not include the text description but only the title. Even though you reply that you have helped me the search function still doesn’t work. Can you please tell me how to fix this problem?

Also, I have a issue with comments. It seems like all comments end up on the same page. Is there a way to fix this so that all downloads have an individual page and the comments end up there?

Hey again, don’t want to be bothering but have another question: just bought the WPDM-Directory Add-on and have installed it. It seems to me, that the search function does not work. Could that be a problem on the server side or do you have any other thought? If you want to check, the link is: http://glory.cgdu.de/online-shop/downloads

So next problem.
Everything is working normally until I set my downloads to open in that nice osx style popup.
when i try to download protected package i have this error : {“error”:””,”downloadurl”:”http:\/\/www.myweb.com\/?wpdmdl=3&_wpdmkey=507e8a185b2d0″}
second problem. when I try to download files individually I get this: Error! Download link expired. Please get new download link.

I have some kind of problem with IE7. My package links are pop-up, and you can download each package individually. In all browsers works fine (even in IE8), but with IE7 all downloads appear complete wrong.

If it helps, we are using the Archive addon. I don’t really understand how this is supposed to work (aside from using the shortcode), but absolutely no CSS styling is being applied… the files don’t appear to be found. See this screenshot:

you need to:
1) deactivate and delete free version
2) install and activate pro version
3) Download and install copy to pro add-on from here http://wpdownloadmanager.com/download/copy-to-pro/ , the add-on will help you to copy files from free version to pro version
4) To copy free version files go to wp-admin Downloads Settings Copy to premium tab ….

Hi, Please view all my recent downloads (my.dt-croatia-dot-com They download OK, but none of the files can be opened?? I get following Erros for each individual file type;
ZIP, cannot open compressed file folder: C:\useres\etc…!
PDF, there was an error opening this document, the file is damaged and could not be repaired!
WMV, Windows Media player cannot C:\useres\etc…!
PPS, Powerpoint cannot read C:\useres\etc…!

Besides this, when in /downloads/Free-downloads/I cannot find out why some (file type) icons show properly and some do NOT? Where can I get more Icons?

I also do not know how to setup the Add dir from Server & Add File(s) from Server. The site will be moved to a dedicated File server this weekend, and I need to know how to set this up? To make things easier on the long run, what is better? To upload packages from PC, or from Server??

I’ve modified the file download-page.php, where is located the loop to create the table with all the files inside the package. I’ve add this:

$file[‘files’] = maybe_unserialize($file[files]);
rsort ($file[‘files’]);

But this hasn’t resolved my problem. Now the Name of all files are in reverse order (highest to lowest), but the links with the downloads, are still in the normal order.

Please I need some help

Topic: Turning off Pagination – Items per Page

Hi there! Loving the plugin so far.

I would like to turn off pagination in order to allow more than the default number of entries on the archive. The current number appears to be 10.

If you go here (www.ooicorp.org/oceanoptics/home/resources/downloads), scroll down and click the tab that says OmniDriver, you’ll see what I mean.

The listing (or archive) is paginated after 10 entries. I’d like to get rid of that entirely.

Is there something in the style sheet or is there a setting in the DM dashboard to look for? I’ve scoured it and couldn’t find it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I have just upgraded from the free version to the Pro Version. Before I install it into my site I just need to check – how do I ensure I don’t lose all the downloads I have already created? Can I import them into the Pro version? Just need to know as it is a big site and am worried that I will lose all the existing download links. is it a straight upgrade? Cheers Chris
