Topic: Import – Post ID
If I understand previous postings here the “Export” feature in WPDM Pro is basically worthless.
So I go to https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/bulk-import/ download the sample file and create a CSV to import 1200 downloads from another site. However, given that their are a number of categories, custom taxonomies and custom fields connected to these downloads having an ID or post_id is needed.Topic: New Package Position
Hi, I have an elderly client who has been using the Downloads Manager for years. He has his downloads organized by cateogry and is using a shortcode to show those categories on a WordPress page. For example: http://word-share.com/circle-bible/
The shortcode for he is using to display a category i: [wpdm_tree category=”part-1-cbsm” order_by=”title” order=”desc”]The problem is that every time he adds a new package to that category it shows at the top of the list instead at the bottom of the list on the page. He then has to go in and edit every file in that category in order to get it to display correctly. Is there a way to make all newly added packages display according to creation date with the newest addition showing at the bottom. Or can we get it to display by date and time? I tried adding those Parameters but it didn’t work.
Thanks in advance for your help with this.

The Belford GroupI want to purchase Lazy Download addon, but i have a question that I’ll redirect my all Download to a single Specific page? Or I’ll need to create separate page for every Download?
Also does it support my existing Downloads or it will work only on wpdm pro package files?Hello dear download manager team,
Today we unfortunately had to realize that all downloads (400+) no longer work. The download itself still exists, but no file is attached.
The different documents still exist on the server, only the connection to the download package was removed.
Of course, we can’t go through 400+ downloads now and attach the file again with every download. Is there a way to make this easier to do?
I would be very happy to hear from you soon!
Many thanks and best regards,
ManuelHow can I get the download dialog window to close automatically after the download? For your information: My downloads are secured with email-Lock.
I am using the Download Manager to manage downloads for different customers – which is obviously the main purpose and works nicely!
However, several times I was already running into a trap. Right now I saw it happening again, but then I was not able to reproduce my steps, so my question remains a bit unspecific.
The trap is: In SOME user pages you will find “Prev” and “Next” buttons – and they will override all the nice accessibility settings that you have done for the Download Manager! So basically you open the download page for a specific user category, like “Customers” in my case, and you see there downloads for that category. On top of that I have also downloads for single users specifically. They will find these downloads either in their user profile page or also together with the general “Customers” download page. So far so good.
But then you may click on one download, this brings you sometimes to another page – and there you have these “Prev” and “Next” buttons – and these do not care at all about anything: you will get to the downloads that are strictly reserved for another customer… I had this once with real protected user data – and it was a pain!
To me it looks like it is about choosing the right templates in many places: download settings, maybe user settings, maybe other locations – I tend to lose track sometimes a bit, and this is exactly the problem!
What I would like to see: A setting that blocks all possible “Prev” and “Next” buttons in ALL possible download templates completely! So that even if I once forget to set the correct template in some location, I am not opening unwanted backdoors.
Is there such a thing available? Like somehow disabling a code, that templates may use for enabling “Prev” and “Next”, so that even if these buttons would appear, nothing would happen? Not nice, but better than giving people access to the wrong data…
Topic: Enable JSTABLE
Hello ,
We are strugling a little bit setting a download table .
Like described at page :
We started from SHORTCODE here below :
[wpdm_category id="Category Slug or Slugs" operator="IN" title="Custom Title Here or 1" desc="Custom Description or 1" toolbar="1" paging="1" orderby="field name" order="asc or desc" items_per_page="10" template="template name or ID" cols=4 colspad=2 colsphone=1]
chaging it for our needs :
[wpdm_all_packages login=1 thumb=1 items_per_page=5 categories="software,datasheet,user-manuals" jstable=1 order_by="field_name" order="DESC"
template="link_mectronik_1"
cols="page_link,version,package_size,excerpt|update_date|download_link" colheads="Title|Update Date|Download::155px"]In details We enabled the option “jstable=1” , because We would like something shown at :
http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/package-list-in-responsive-table/
Now our problem is :
– Enabling JSTABLE , We don’t see toolbar and pagination
– Disabling JSTABLE , We have pagination but not the toolbar
My questions are :
– Does the “datatable.js” is already installed or not ?
– In case it’s not , can You give to us some informations about how to install it ?
We using Elementor Pro , with basic theme “Hello Elementor” .
Thank You a lot !
