Actually, you can ignore this. It was a permission issue on our end.
Something for you to know: when there are permission issues when adding downloads, you are not notified on the front end.

It is not the category Download Manger retrieves when you search a word, it shows all packages that matched the search. The issue here is you added all of your files in a single package, but you want to access those files as different downloads. You can do that, just create different package for each of your files.
And you are mixing category with package. A package is not a category, you can assign same category to multiple packages from category meta box.
No I’ve had enough, plugin screws up my website from 30th July and still not fixed, I cant wait four weeks to get just a forum reply, not good enough so stopped using it and moved on! My website has taken a real hit over this, I used to get 10k visitors a day without any negative feedback, now there are reviews of my site online calling us frauds and not giving out downloads just us trying to get followers and farming email addresses. Six years of work blown apart by these jokers in a matter of months.
Hello.
Any file I add and then attempt to download results in a text file being downloaded instead titled “file-not-found.txt”. When I open this file it contains the following text “File not found or deleted from server”. Please advise.
I also have Form Lock installed, but I don’t want the form appearing on the page or post. I want the user to have to click through from the post/page to the file’s download page and then having to fill out the form to download the file(s).
Please advise ASAP.

I am working with a company where no file should be available for all visitors. Is there a way to disable this user role?
If not disable it, is there a way to remove it from the default?
I am working with a customer who has multiple people with access to edit and modify. Recently some of the access rights on our downloads were changed. We had specifically removed “all visitors” and individually added the roles that were allowed. Unfortunately last week we found several files had “all visitors” activated and nothing else.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can be tracking this?
The Downloads plugin said to Click Here to update 4.6.0 –>
But the only option is to update to 4.5.6.
I have 4.5.5 installed.I Clicked “Install”, and it said it installed, but it really didn’t do anything.
Message still said I need to update for 4.6.0.I had to manually download 4.5.6 and FTP the extracted folder over.
Message is now gone to update to 4.6.0.Somewhere it should say what version you have installed, couldnt find that either.

I’m at a loss here!I’m using the wpdm-archive-page plugin to generate the advanced search form.
On my search page I have this:

How can I add a condition in this template file so that if the [file_size] is 0.00 then I don’t show the download link.
I tried using the

but it is not recognized.Any ideas?

Please assist. I am using WordPress vs 4.6.1 running Headway theme. Download manager vs 2.9.1. free version
This was working perfectly. Tried to upload a new download this morning and ALL the downloads have disappeared from the Web site. There are over 200. They are still on the server.Have disabled all the plug-ins, still not working
Have checked the serverWould appreciate any advice as to repair this. I am using this plug in on other Web sites and dont have the same problem.

I have a WPDM PRO set off downloads on an old site that now need to be moved to a new installation of WPDM with new license in a multisite application. Both installations are using v4.6.0
How can I export existing packages and import to new site?

Bit more of an update. I’m using the Hueman theme and when I turn off the image load on scroll with DM v4.6.0 installed, the images show, but only two downloads work out of around 100. All the others just show a blank page or show nothing at all.
If I just scroll back on, all the images disappear….
I have reverted back to DM v4.5.6 and all images and downloads are working again.
I have cleared my caches and CDN’s but still the same.
I have updated to php v5.4 but when i load DM v4.6.0, some downloads work, most just disappear, no 404, just a completely blank page. But also, ALL the images on my site (including ones within posts etc) disappear as well which is very strange.
Its a production site, so no staging server.

CSV import working fine. After importing packages you are redirected to all downloads page.
If you notice the number of total downloads you will see that it has increased after import process.
Downloads are sorted by date. So imported packages may not present in first page depending on the create date set on csv file.
Any update on this? I currently have the option of using v4.5.6 and the downloads not working correctly or v4.6.0 where it removes most of my downloads and images from my entire site!!
Shall I just wait another two months for a reply?

We just moved our site to AWS, but we have our WPDM packages hosted on the local (virtual) machine, not S3 storage. Our downloads work fine, but we can’t upload a package via the admin sidebar that’s larger than 100MB — the green upload bar will just cycle indefinitely after the file finishes, and these packages don’t make it to the DM folder. Packages smaller than 100MB will upload with no problem at all.
We are using Cloudflare CDN, but we were using that when the site was on BlueHost with no problems.
Do these packages upload in smaller packets or in one big chunk?

I have just updated my site to php v5.4 again and working fine with version 4.5.6. However, when I put it to v4.6.0 – most of my downloads disappear and all the images on my site disappear! Removed v4.6.0 and reinstalled v4.5.6 on php v5.4 and all working again…
I am in the same situation: CentOS 6, PHP 5.3.3 (which is the “latest” release from the standard CentOS 6 repos) and just upgraded WPDM from 4.5.6 to 4.6.0 with the same error message as the original poster. We take automatic backups before each update, so it was easy to roll back to 4.5.6 to get downloads to work again.
According to another thread today (“Fatal error activating the plugin”), the minimum version of PHP required is “5.3”, so the standard PHP with CentOS 6 should work OK, but it clearly doesn’t. It does feel like some post-PHP 5.3 code has snuck into the 4.6.0 release, but I can’t be sure.
At the moment, we’re holding back updates beyond 4.5.6, but this is only a temporary measure. I need to know if I have to upgrade PHP or not (there’s an IUS repo that would do the trick) – I’m reluctant to do so when all the other dozens of plugins we have installed across various sites are all fine with PHP 5.3.3.

Your first link shows downloads from a category. Your category url base is
downloads( from WPDM url structure settings ). So all of your download category url will look like the first url.Second and Third url shows normal WordPress posts from a category and tag. These pages uses different templates from Crypton Theme.
Building custom templates ( category and tag archive for normal posts ) requires more time than simple edit. Please mail to customize@wpdownloadmanager.com to get a quote for the customization.
Usually a theme uses different look for normal post and custom posts. Here you want same look for all posts ( download and normal posts)

Topic: CSV import issues
I have an issue when trying to import a CSV under Bulk Import.
When I select the file yo upload and click the Import CSV button it takes a while to load and then takes me to the main Downloads screen, with the list of all my files.I updated the plugin but I’m still having the same issue.

You can use download archive page to show all of your downloads. You can modify the archive page url from Downloads Settings Basic URL Structure panel.
You can also use

You can install wp download manager to manage the downloads.
You will need this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/lazy-download-add-on/ to make redirect to wait on download.
