Hello,
the members of my blog report that the download stops after around 1 MB. I hecked this and it is true. All downloads with Download Manage Pro” stops after 1 MB with a network failure. I tested the direct download without Download Manager Pro” and it works perfect. No issue with the server or the file.
Please help me on this topic else I get really problems with my customers.
Hi,
I would like to create a site, where ONLY the user-specific downloads are shown.
I use the add-on “Advanced Access Control” and i created a page using the shortcode [wpdm_my_downloads]. On this page i see all downloads now including the individual ones. But as we have a lot of downloads on the site, the user can hardly find them. Is ist possible to show ONLY the personal files, not the files that can be seen by all visitors?
Excellent, that solves all of my issues except one: how can I embed a shortcode directly from the Edit Post page? It seems I have to copy them over from the Downloads > Packages page into the Edit Post WYSIWYG. I have used other download plugins that add a button to the WYSIWYG editor to summon existing shortcodes (so you don’t have to copy-paste). Does this plugin have functionality like that?
I have a problem with the WPDM Default Values add-on. If I set the Select Default Setting in the menu Allow Access. I want to remove all visitors and allow only registered users to start the download. If I have memory re-enabled all visitors. Aside from this problem with new downloads the default values can not also copied but are standard. I needed help urgently
Hi all why do packages appear as blog posts? Ideally I want to output the packages onto a standard page template and not appear on the blog template. Has this got something to do with ‘Post Types’ any help much aprreciated.
Just wanted to thank you for fixing my download counter. I didn’t get an email saying it was fixed, like you normally do, but a huge thank you for getting that fixed.

Getting errors on my login page as well — all referencing Download Manager.
As the title says, I was hoping I could make someone log in to be able to access all of the downloads, but it looks like each individual file is protected? I don’t want anyone to even be able to see what files are there without logging in. Can this be done?
I dont want you to redo it, I did it myself, I didnt know before that there was a simple setting in the download file page to set the downloads to a user role. Had I known that I wouldnt have asked.
your programmer was sloppy and lazy and Im standing behind that statement. There were conflicts with other plugins found that caused login problems and fields to not show up, so Im sure he never really tested it. He tossed something together and sai d it was done. Id be embarrassed to deliver that low quality of untested and cheap work. he was NOT worth $50+ an hour. If he was in the states he would never be able to keep a job. Im embarrassed for him
thats fine, forget it, I should have never been stupid enough to pay someone 100% before they did anything. I hope others who read this learn from my mistakes.
I’ve been through all of the settings, tried to upload a file again, but the problem is remaining the same, only two files on the page can be downloaded, the rest download a file-not-found.txt file. I also can’t find a solution in this support forum, so I am turning to you for help please.
You will need to login to access the downloads, how can I send that to you?
@offthepage, actually no way, as v4 using custom post type and taxonomy there was to way to keep the link, But we converted to custom post type ( v3 was not using custom post type) in v4 for better performance though it will give some extra work for user in migration process
I just paid for Version 4 and upgrade accordingly from the free version. Maybe its just me, but the free version worked perfectly. There was a short-code generator that I could use to drop downloads into posts or pages. This is completely missing in Version 4.
I have created packages in Version 4, but cannot put them into any posts. I have tried copying the shortcode link for a package and pasting into a page/post. However, when you click the link to download all I get is redirected to an unknown page (probably created by wpdm).
I cannot understand the huge differences in useability between the free and paid version.
