Why would you need FTP access? WP login not enough? Shaon, installed a ‘new’ plugin I believe. wpdm_acf-SoftwareNews-Type Download (custom field) also isn’t working.

I’m automatically uploading a csv file to the server with the use of a cronjob and customization by your company, maybe the problem is within the custom work? Because no matter what i do, default is still being used.

1. So i cannot change post_status to : private or something like that? Because i would like to add items to the CSV list that are hidden,

2 I already am using the advanced csv importer ( i think) ( i’ve had some customization done by your company) that allows me to automatically upload csv with the use of a cronjob.

3. unfortunately the shortcode regarding WPDM categories and so forth aren’t working, even with category slugs. Perhaps you could try it on my site.

4. Can i create a wordpress page and assign certain categories to it?

In the Sample CSV file there are some columns that allow you to put in the template ID. I’ve added the id to the template column and page_template column, unfortunately it won’t work. After import, Default template is still used.

I just found out the same thing after a while, I just needed to do a little more digging than you do ;).

Btw (for people interested): To remove line breaks you can use the =clean formula in excel, i’ve got 150 pages of text  with html markup to put in a csv file. So it would be a challenge to delete every line break invidually.

Question: Can i move the ‘titles’ in the csv files around? So instead of title, description, link_label can i change it to something like : link_label, description, title.

Hi, regarding the CSV import i’m trying to add a description to the file. But i have to add some bulletins to the description (and other markup). It should be relativly easy to just add some HTML code to the csv file. But unfortunately after it uploaded, every ‘bullet list title’ creates an invidual package. Its really annyonig when a bullet list of 50 bullets, creates 50 invidual packages  ; )

So I want

Package 1

Description

• lorum ipsum
• lorum ipsum

But I get instead:

Package 1 : Lorum ipsum

Package 2 : Lorum ipsum

It would be awesome, if i could add custom fields to each file. Otherwise i have to create a package for every file. And have to show packages within a package. Any work-around for this?

I’ve added a shortcode archive page, to operate as search page. Unfortunately the three categories aren’t showing packages. (0). But if you click on one of the categories a page will appear with several packages.

Hi Shaon, that worked. Thanks. But I got some weird errors like you see in the picture. It migrated the files and packages. But some packages turned up twice in the new list. Also the categories aren’t selected anymore?

What would be awesome if I could export al the packages to a CSV file, is this in anyway possible?

I’ve installed a Redirect plugin, to redirect the WPDM category pages to ‘normal WP pages’. Unfortunately I can’t seem to redirect the category pages. You have any idea how to redirect WPDM categories?

That’s great. But what if i want to show only the post-count. I want to add it to the title of a page. Is there a shortcode i can use perhaps?
