Wow. Ok.
So if the owner of the website uses your plugin to provide health and safety documents to all it’s clients, and they want to know if Company A has got all their documents….. And then Company B, and maybe many many more – how do they do that?

The fact there is no way to Manage that, is a deep flaw.
We get asked by people about these sorts of systems, and up until recently, we would have recommended it.

But when we discussed this with them they sadly said “really, I can’t see who has got what?”… Not without creating abotu 300 pages for three 300 clients… NO.

Maybe iut’s osmething you never thought you needed – but BOY you do. Big time.
We are now having to pay £100s to get this fixed by another company. As our client has said it is shocking that it can’t, and we don’t want to lose them.

They have no way, at a glance, to click on any given user, to see if they have been given their documents.
Now maybe your tool has never been used in this way, which would explain why this flaw is not known.

It’s maybe more of a Vital Missing Element in the system. But to me, that’s a flaw.

Can you please tell me, based on your rates, what you would charge to enable this??

The fix would be to do as I suggested – to have a page that allows us to see: Who can see what.

Without that, your plugin it majorly flawed.
If you had a team of 50 people, and a manager. Would you want to ask each team member what they do, or the manager to KNOW about be able to list out their tasks?

Right now, you have maybe 350 clients on this new site, and we have NO WAY to know, who can see what.

All downloads/packages assigned to a user is listed in User Dashboard My Downloads Tab
If you want, you can create a special page using shortcode[wpdm_my_downloads login=1 role=”0 or 1″ template=”template-id” cols=”1 or 2 or 3 or 4″ cats=1]or[wpdm_my_downloads login=1]to list all packages assigned to a specific user – this shortcode is useful when you want to create a user-specific download area or members area.

This tells me how the user can see their downloads. Fine.

Sorry. But to have a Manager, that cannot see who has what, is not a manager.

If Company A has GOT TO get the Health and Safety documents out to their clients, and need to see if 5 companies have theirs…
With your plugin, there is NO MEANS to see that result. No way to know.

I never asked about this before, as I thought it was a given.
AS a Download Manager who primarily need two things:
To upload thd docs and assign to the users.
The means to see “who has what”.

That final one is a NO BRAINER. And this does not have that.
No central point, to see as a Manager, who has what… that’s red line.

We are not looking at alternatives. This is one major flaw.

Sorry why are you making this so very very frustrating and difficult.
I do not have anything that I need.

Please can you give me the Shortcode, that shows an Administrator who has access to this page, what I have asked for many times.

This is becoming very stressful.
I as an admin, just want a dashboard, to see ALL packages, and to be able to filter (or search by) all packages assigned to any given member.

Tell me please – tell me – how do I in fact see what downloads are assigned to a user.

Guide me on your demo – where do I go, to see all downloads, and see the users, so I can then filter by those the downloads are assigned?

ie. We have 200 clients, with 5000 downloads.
I want to see the downloads we have assigned to Client number 50.
Where do i go?

I’d like you to be a little more elaborate on your reply please.
So in short, where we CREATE the packages and store them, there is no way to filter them by user to whom they are assigned.

So we have to create a page for admins, with a shortcode that they allows us to view ALL downloads assigned to each user? It’s not making sense to me.

If I post a login as a private reply can you setup the page on our site for me, so I can see what you mean? It’s basically a list of ALL Packages created and then a means to filter by user.

I mean when the admins go to the Packages page, they can’t filter on anything.

How do they go to this area, and filter by Users… or how do they do they anywhere else??

It’s a major flaw for them as that’s where they add them all, so how do they now go to that page, and filter by the user, to see if that users has all the downloads they need?

I tried what I suggestd and it works just fine.
Second question: CAn I “move” Package downloads into Packages?
If you go to our main Packages page, tehre are over 160. Can we search for them, and then Move them “into” new packages?

If not, it’s no big deal.

And are they assigned only to that person?
Where do I see those six items assigned only to him?

Firstly. PLEASE make that private. you keep posting content that is private…
Also, I am so so so confused.

I’ve assigned downloads to the user. ONE download.
What you are showing there, how do I see how those 6 items are assigned ONLY to that one user?

PLEASE… can you just tell me how I do it. Im sorry to be rude, but I’ve asked this since yesterday, and still no definitive way.
you have a login to our account. If you can either show me how, or do it, so I can see on that Test user, the Filter, that would be fine. Thank you.
