Very strange. We have this quite often, but we are keeping an eye on it. If it happens again, what should I do?

It works, but now suddenly for the old package too? Did you change anything? Because a file size is suddenly showing up without me having done anything.

Still coming back to the disabling plug-in. This turns out to be an action by the hosting provider that has placed the plug-in on a blocklist due to security risk. I use Cloud86 as hosting. Maybe you can contact them before your beautiful plug-in appears on more blocklists

I’ve installed the new plugin.

But was a problem with version 7.4.0 the reason for a new release?

Before I remove the plugin, could you please confirm whether deleting it will also remove my uploaded files and Download Manager data? I want to avoid any data loss.

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

I believe I have found some additional information that may help.

The Download Manager menu is currently unavailable because the plugin has been automatically deactivated again.

I also discovered that my hosting provider is automatically disabling the plugin because it has been placed on their blocklist. At this point, I do not know why it has been flagged.

In addition, I noticed three WPDM add-ons installed on the website. Could you please confirm whether these are legitimate components of WP Download Manager or if I should be concerned about them?

Could you also advise whether there is any known reason why WP Download Manager Pro would be flagged by a hosting provider’s security system?

Kind regards,

Bart

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

The issue has now occurred on a daily basis. WordPress Download Manager Pro was automatically deactivated without any manual action from my side, causing the download functionality on my website to become unavailable until I manually reactivated the plugin.

The current version of WordPress Download Manager Pro is: 7.4.0.

I will check the server and PHP error logs as you suggested. However, since this issue has already occurred twice and I have not been able to identify the cause, would it be possible for your technical team to investigate this directly?

If needed, I can provide temporary administrator access to the WordPress dashboard and, if required, FTP or hosting access so your team can review the installation and identify what caused the plugin to be deactivated.

Please let me know if this would help and what level of access you would need.

Kind regards,

Bart

I found it; it was the WPDM audio player plugin. After disabling it, everything works fine again. Only now with different layouts, but that’s not so bad.
