Holy shit 😀
I’ve edited the categories to allow access to everybody and am now able to download those files.

Thanks Shaon! Although I want to add: this is not obvious at all. Maybe when creating categories the access control for each category should be ‘all visitors’ by default? I guess restricting access is an advanced feature, so I wasn’t paying much attention, as in “Well, I haven’t restricted access anywhere so it should work!”.

Thanks for getting this sorted out. Have a great day!

Hi Shaon,

alright, I see. Obviously I changed that option and forgot about it. Still, one question remains: why are those packages, that are assigned to any category, blocked? Now that the above setting is set to ‘Block link’ all packages are show, but I still can’t actually download them :/

“Allow Access” is set to ‘All Visitors’ (translated to ‘jeder’ (everybody))

I’d like to define the upload dir, too.

Expected to find that option under settings > basic > upload-settings, but sadly, there’s only ‘sanitize filename’ and ‘when file already exists: overwrite|rename’.
