well, I added the page, because of the problem, with or without a page, the problem persists I am afraid.
already did that Shaon, the base url slugs are “downloads” and “download”.
I have a page called downloads, but still somehow the “wpdmpro” page pops up, without anything in it. I have defined two categories that do not show up on that page.
Addendum: when the url ends with “/downloads” I get the 404.
When I add a slash “/downloads/” I get an *empty* page titled “wpdmpro”.
true, I have another problem I guess. I will start a new question for that. (templates do not work, I *did* specifiy [icon]).
Whatever icon I click in the “Select icon” box, it does not display (the src attribute is an empty string). Seems a problem with wpdownloadmanager? The image folder rights are 755

I have a similar problem. The image does not show, the element inspector shows:<img src=”http://www.robvens.com/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/timthumb.php?w=600&h=0&zc=1&src=” class=”img-rounded”>
Thanks Shaon, for shortcodes this might work, but (as the link I provided shows) this does not work when navigating to the category page.
For example I have a category mgc, which you reach with http://www.reflektis.com/downloads/mgc.
You might reach this page also by clicking the category in the WPDM Categories Widget.
In both cases the category description is not visible and I am still looking for a way to accomplish that.

I would like the category page to contain more extensive description for all the downloads in that category.
