Question 1 Is it absolutely necessary to update from 3.3.8 to 4? Does Your 3 version support the newest and incoming versions of wordpress?
Question 2 How can I have a quick list of old short code to replace in your 4 version?

When I used wordpress in a dir called Muh before the migration from joomla towards wordpress this addon used to work.
After the migration, I put index.php and .htaccess on root directory of my web server and I hadn’t seen anymore the tinymace bar until I deactivated your tinymace button. I hope this is clearer)

Also your Tinymace Button plugin kills tynimace bar (maybe the same problem?)
