If not can you also give me the code for just displaying the numerical output without any special css or styling?

Just to be sure I’m understanding this correctly…say on my frontpage i want to display the number of downloads for a certain product, this will work? just using this shortcode anywhere on the main page? It will output just the numerical text?

Yes, just the numbers and information. No links for the following:

1. view count
2. download count
3. file size
4. package size
5. create date4
6. modify date

The problem is when clicking the title it takes me to the package page and does not download the file directly. I need my users to be able to download any file they previously downloaded before when they click the title. I do not need them to be taken to the package page.

Is there a setting for this?

Following up on this request as well.

Is the image gallery template going to be updated so each image can show additional details such as download count? Also the ability to modify the download buttons css as the admin settings do not seem to apply to it.

A lot of your plugins have not been updated in years…and are no longer supported by your team it seems. I paid $300 for access to specific plugins and they do not function nearly as well as they should. Please don’t ask me to pay for custom customization features when you’re selling these plugins for nearly $100 each and unwilling to add basic functionality to make them useable.

This plugin really needs to be updated. It is old and unuseable. Please do not say it needs heavy customization. That is why I’m requesting it be updated- because it DOES need more time in development. As of right now it is very bare bones.

As mentioned before this plugin needs:

– admin setting added to the Default Values plugin or to itself that allows one-click adding to all existing images.

– option to enable the watermark to be ON ALL NEW FILES BY DEFAULT instead of having to manually turn it on for every image upload. This is just courtesy quality of life.

That frontend option you suggested. Doesn’t that just disable the watermark from appearing on images for certain users? It does not take away the watermark upload page does it? Or does that option do both?

I want to add it by default to all files that are existing right now. But I would love both. Being able to add a new image file and automatically have the watermark enabled and positioned correctly would be perfect.

In short the watermark section needs:

1. an option to enable it by default on all new files instead of manually having to enable it on each file.
2. ability to preposition and apply a watermark to all new files
3. ability to remove frontend users from using the watermark feature. As of right now the watermark tab shows up in the download center with no way to turn it off if only the admin is using the watermark feature. Customers should not need to edit watermarks or see this page on the profile.
4. ability to put a watermark on all existing files in one click

The problem with this code is it just puts a table at the top of the image gallery but does not add the download count or any of those perameters to each image box themselves. See the attached photo.

These parameters need to be built into the actual image gallery so that each image shows its own details.

So instead of a image gallery shortcode that is [image_gallery_400x400x4] maybe it becomes [image_gallery_400x400x4 showDownloadCount=”1″ showViewCount=”1″ downloadButtonStyle=”Template2″]

Please try and update this in the main Download Manager plugin sometime soon. A lot of people use the image gallery template and it is not as robust as it should be.

I was testing with your demo. i did not see a way to add users to specific roles or groups. Do you know if this is possible and how it works if wp pro membership does that.

If i give you login info could you put in the css in the elementor module for that page for me so i could learn how it works and what it looks like?

Also I would like to add download count and views if that is possible.

How do you customize it? There is no way to customize the download button on the Image Gallery page template. Also it only displays the title and file size by default. How would we add new metadata to the image card?

IS there pagination for the image gallery? I think it is a feature you may have to implement unless it is there already.

Your team should really update the image gallery template to have more customization options.

I believe using that [download_link] shortcode adds a NEW download button somewhere on the page. Image gallery has its own download button on EACH photo and the styling of that button does not come from your settings. I believe this button is hard coded in the [image-gallery] shortcode so how can it be edited? I need to be able to customize the image gallery download button and add download count under each images title.

How can this be done?

I uploaded a demo file called “test.txt” and uploaded it to the attach directory root in a folder called “test”. please try pointing at it manually with a new product and you’ll see it works if you preview the page. it lists the file you can download.

Then try using the .csv file to point to it using the package_dir. you will see the text will show correctly on the site but it will not pull any files.

That is just the default csv. I made mine following that. I just took out colomns I didnt need to keep those fields default. The problem is the package_dir colomn. When I upload a file using it the Attach Dir field shows the text but it doesnt actually connect to the location and pull files. I have to manually browse using Attach Dir and save the package and then it works.

So the problem isnt uploading since the packages are created and the attach dir correctly displays the folder location on the server…however it does not actually link to that location unless i manually re-enter it and save.
