Yes I have tried it on different browsers. It seems to be a new or different problem.

This is the shortcode I am using.

[wpdm-all-packages items_per_page="50" categories="promotional-documents" jstable=1 order_by="field_name" order="asc"]

Was this issue resolved? I am having the same issues as described by Scott. Anytime I add a new package after the initial bulk upload, it does not display in alphabetical order. I created a dummy package with just a title and added it to a category. I am running WPDM 4.7.1. You can see how the issues described by Scott are still occurring at the below URL.

Ok, after doing some more trial and error testing this is what I have found. It appears the CSV Bulk Import creates/automatically generates a preview image upon adding a package. This happens regardless if I have the same preview image already uploaded to the Media folder. The image file the bulk importer creates is listed as a 0 kB file and attaches it to the package/post and the same preview file previously uploaded is not used as the preview image. If I delete the 0 kB image file, the package/post no longer maintains it as featured image.

This does not appear in any WPDM documentation that I have found.

So my questions are.

1. Does WPDM automatically generate the preview image and name it according to what is specified in the “Preview” column of the CSV?

2. If WPDM generates the image, why is it a 0 kB file?

Hello,

Yes, i did make a change, but it wasn’t one that fixed the issue. It is just a workaround. This is what I learned from my host, godaddy, yesterday after a lengthy conversation.

They stated that the issue was with Chrome. According to them the files opened as expected for awhile in Chrome, but with all the traffic to my site Chrome stopped accepting requests to open the pdf’s. Chrome’s security seetings detected the requests and believed it might be an injection attack and simply denied access to the files. Which is why it threw the error message.

As a workaround, I went in to WPDM’s settings and simply unchecked “Open in Browser”. However I would like to go back to using the other way at some point if a fix could be found.

Is that Chrome you are using, and is it on a mac or PC?

The plugin was previously updated to the latest version, Version 4.6.2. The problem still persists.
