I did have to manually download and install the latest versions of both, but that seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks very much!
Chunk upload is enabled and nothing has been changed on the site for months other than running updates on existing plugins, themes, and WP core. Max execution time would make sense if the issue was only happening on large files, but it happens on files of all sizes.
We thought upgrading WordPress core resolved the issue but it appears it did not. Still having this problem randomly, not with all zips.
Here is my php.ini:
post_max_size = 500M
upload_max_filesize = 500M
max_execution_time = 600
memory_limit = 512M
max_input_time = 2000
Again, the firewall is not active on this site so I’m not sure it makes sense that the issue could be due to the firewall.
Yes, we do have this service through GoDaddy hosting, but the firewall is deactivated currently because of other issues we’ve had with it as well.
Thank you for the response, I don’t see any php errors related to download manager. As far as “Open in Browser” function, I’m not sure that works for our purpose as this is a very large package of images which is intended as a content download and not something to simply be opened and viewed in a browser. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist in correcting this issue.
Just following up to make sure you got the admin access and it worked OK. Please let me know if you need anything else.
Hello, is this a behind the scenes update or an update we need to download and install? I am not seeing an available update, still version 4.7.1
Just following up since you expected a couple of days and it’s been nearly a week.
Great, thanks. I look forward to the update then, hopefully that takes care of it.
I have this same issue, would love to know what you find out here. I’ve tried compressing the file and zipping it and no matter what the upload never completes.
