I’m using v4.2. There is no way to assign the packages to a category because my packages do not display either. None of the work created on the test server transferred over so it would show up in WP Admin.

I figured out the cause. In Elegant theme options, you have to have “Use excerpts when defined” enabled under General Settings.

Isn’t here that will add the download link to appear on category pages?

So it looks like Download Manager and Elegant Themes are not compatible, which is why the download link isn’t displaying on the Category pages and why WPDM templates won’t take effect. If I change to a WP default theme (2015) there is a download link on the category pages, but not when using an Elegant Theme. Is there a work around or fix for this?
