Hello,

That’s understandable, but this is not what the product description states. We purchased this add-on for both download limiting and for the feature of the reset timer being tied to each specific user.

Would it be possible to make it work as advertised? Please let us know the next steps.

Thank you.

Hello,

Apologies for the delay.
Unfortunately the add-on is not working as expected.

Download Limit

On the plugin’s page it states: “The clock for each user will start from their first download.”
This is not how it works. The count down is the same for every user. So a new user has the same count down as an old one. And the count down clock for a new user does not start from their first download.

Does that make sense? I can put together a screen recording if that would be helpful.

Hello,

Thank you for your help thus far, but I don’t see how this is working correctly.

Yes, the download limiter does work in that it prevents you from downloading once you’ve reached your limit, but the reset period isn’t working correctly and the “Show download limit notice at front-end” toggle in settings is broken (it won’t stay on – refresh the settings page and you’ll see what I mean).

In the settings the reset period is set to 1 day. The download limit counter shortcode for my admin account shows “1 day 8 hours 42 minutes”, which is wrong. If I change the download limit period to 5 days, and reset the period for everyone, the counter stills shows “1 day 8 hours 42 minutes”.

When I tested subscriber users I found the download limit reset period doesn’t work correctly there either. I have just hit my limit with the “New Subscriber” user and the download limit counter says the exact same thing as it does for my admin user.

I just made a brand new user, before downloading anything the download counter reads the same as it does for everyone (1 day 8 hours 42 minutes). After downloading and hitting my limit, the counter still reads exactly the same.

This plugin is not respecting the download limit period I set in Settings, and it’s not changing based on the user or when the users first download was. The websites page for this add-on states “The clock for each user will start from their first download.” but this is not how it’s working.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, as of now, for the premium package “Download limit exceeded!” warning will not show, as the user already purchased the package.

The user has not yet purchased the package. They have already reached their download limit, and it is still allowing them to purchase the package.
