Did you receive my email?

Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled. I uploaded a fresh file. I got the same error on my test page. I disabled “Resumable Downloads”, saved the setting, and was able to download the file. I went back to settings, and the enable option was selected again. I was still able to download the file. So, I don’t know if that will fix it for additional files, or whether I need to go through the disable/enable step for each file, but it will work.

As for the ugly links that don’t fit in my sidebar, can I assume that is something the Pro version will allow me to fix?

I previously tried migrating and changing shortcodes. The files won’t download. I got an error similar to the one reported above, though I can no longer find my previous post here.
I can’t still use 2.6.96 – that’s what I was doing when my host updated for me:

“WP Download Manager has released a new version 2.7.6 for their plugin. A recent hack was found in older versions of this plugin that allows an attacker to execute remote code. This would allow an attacker to insert a backdoor to your WordPress Website (no authentication required).

Over the next 48 hours we will be making every attempt to upgrade your WP Download Manager plugin to the most recent version 2.7.6. We strongly encourage you to check your plugin version(s) to make sure”…etc.

If you ever get it all fixed, let me know – I’ve been up all night switching everything to “Download Monitor”.
