I have just re-downloaded the latest version and I am seeing 3.3.8, strange…

I have sent you an e-mail to support@

As for my other post I am still getting a problem if I activate Calendarize It, The Other Plugins have been replaced with ones that seem to not be affected as to where Downloads sits on the Dashboard, but if you activate Calendarize It you will see that it will not appear, until Download Manager Pro is deactivated…

But more importantly I would like to know why:

1. The Download Links do not appear at all.
2. Why does it take me to a second page, which I do not want, I just want someone to select the link that they want and then be able to download it without this second page appearing!

Thanks Shaon,

I have just uploaded 3.3.5 RC2 and noticed that this fix does seem to work, I do get at least my Portfolios now.

Still not fixed is where ‘Downloads’ appears in the Dashboard, this is still stopping three other plugins from appearing, is there a hack that I can do to make Downloads appear down the bottom with the other plugins??? It is still not useable because I need the other plugins.

Thanks trickz100 and Shaon

I have updated to 3.3.5 RC2 which you are right, has sorted out a lot of the issues, I tested with an item in my download list which is a PDF, it now displays the Icon when I select the ‘Default template with Icon’, BUT…. I still do not get a ‘Download’ link, If I click on either the displayed Icon or the text beneath it, it still takes me to a second page which just displays ‘Edit Package’, I dont want this second Page to appear, I want to just select the Icon or the text beneath and that will start the download, but this doesn’t??? must be doing something wrong, I have selected that users have to be Subscribers to be able to download the file, I have not selected anywhere that all users have the ability to ‘Edit Package’???

Also, why does it need to take you to another page that shows you information on the download and then also this Edit Package button that by the way doesn’t do anything when you select it?

All I want is a simple Link, with a graphic Icon show you can see what you are about to download and a download button, I like the fact that it displays the size automatically, but a download button would be nice, but not this second information page, thats just messy! I just want a simple link to a file.?

I think there is a problem with your Live Support? It keeps stating that the Operator Has Connection Issues and I think they said that they were going to change two lines of code, not sure what they were, and have not had any response to my questions since? I have sent the login to your support@ email address, can someone let me know if this has been looked at yet and what the verdict is?

Oh well, will have to find another download manager as this will be easier to do, plus the Calendar plugin is more important to me than this one!

Can SOMEONE Please please find a fix for this, ive looked on the web and it looks like it should be possible to change the line

“menu_position’ ► null,”

to read

“menu_position’ ► 100,”

but this does not work, so any help would be much appreciated… PLEASE

This only works with 3.3.2 as it looks like he has re-written the code for 3.3.3, for a fix with that version you will have to wait till he posts a fix!

Open the functions.php
Look for a line ending:

download-manager/images/download-manager-16.png’,6);

Remove ,6

Save and your done!

1) please open /plugins/download-manager/functions.php
2) find and remove “,6″
3) save functions.php
4) refresh admin page

This should do it!

I have shut down access to the site for the moment, you can register and then let me know what your login was so that I can up you to Administrator if that helps, or is there a way to send you a login securely? The admin login for ‘wpdm’ is enabled if you work for these guys as they have logged in before when I had issues with the registration not working.

But wont this remove it from all lists that I use, and as I have used the ‘dot’ for lists on my site which i need. At a push I can put up with the ‘dot’ its a little annoying, but the main issue is that the icon are not appearing???

Also where do you edit the templates that have been supplied in the update? I only get the one that I have tried to make as a test, but its not that one i need to edit as it does not look right, and i cannot get to look like one of the ones supplied!

I have tried to edit the templates, but I still am unable to get rid of the ‘dot’ and the images should still load!

As a further note to item “1.” I have even tried inserting the box within a frame, this does allow me to resize the box to say 50%, and this works, but, and this is strange, even though I have asked the frame to appear ‘center’ of the page, this setting is ignored and it always appears aligned left???
