Perfect. That’s all working now.
Many thanks for your help.
Okay, thanks Shaon.
Thanks for the swift reply, not sure I understand exactly where to apply this (where is link/page template within the wpdmpro files?). Or maybe I didn’t explain quite clearly enough.
Rather than reproduce and insert urls manually, I wish to be able to change the wpdmpro files so that when shortcodes are used e.g. [wpdm_file id=999] the link produced for the user will contain the full url which can be copied, where at present there is just #, so right click / copy will not work if users want to copy a link out to share.
Hope that helps clarify. Thanks!
Hi Shaon,
Thanks for the add-on, that seems to be working now. 🙂
The search problem is when I’m searching files within WP Admin, so here …/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wpdmpro
Using the ‘Search files’ button over at the top right.
It used to only show results containing Download Manager files, but now shows page results from the website too, as if you were searching from within the Pages section here …wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page.
This makes it difficult to find anything when you have a lot of files. Hope that clarifies.
Regards,
Graham
Hi Shaon,
Many, many days now still with no further feedback from you. Any chance you could advise on this problem please.
Regards,
Graham
Hi Shaon,
Any chance of an update on this? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Graham
Hi Shaon, coming back to this again now as I had to give up before as it did not resolve and was causing panic with the client! Working in a test environment now, I find that when updating a lot of files are still not visible, only 774 items. But ff I go back again to the 2.6.96 version, all files are visible again, 1,020 items!
I have tried with the steps linked above but no luck, in migrate tab a message reads:
“Warning: mysql_query(): No such file or directory in …/wp-content/plugins/wpdm-m24x/wpdm-m24x.php on line 119
Warning: mysql_query(): A link to the server could not be established in …/wp-content/plugins/wpdm-m24x/wpdm-m24x.php on line 119
Please don’t select more then 100 packages at a time
Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in …/wp-content/plugins/wpdm-m24x/wpdm-m24x.php on line 145”
Any ideas?
Thanks, Graham
Hi Shaon, thank you so much for the swift fix, all working perfectly again now. Thanks for your feedback too Jonathon. 🙂
I just signed up to ask about the very same thing, our error log was 6GB.
We are currently running WordPress 3.5 and the DM plugin was working perfectly, but today on updating DM to 2.3.8 lots of errors are being generated: PHP Warning: fread(): Length parameter must be greater than 0 in /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/process.php on line 249.
Process ine 249 is: echo fread($file, $wpdm_chunk);
The only other change on the site today was updating the Jetpack plugin to 2.2.1.
We have had to disable the DM to get the site back up, but would love to get it working properly again as it was running just great. Any advice?
