Might have found the answer.

Seems the free add-on “WPDM Extended Short-codes [ 2.7.2 ]” might have been the culpret.
After updating that – everythings seems to work as it should.

Hi, Another issue we have is that the password protected option doesn’t protect the file from being downloaded, since I can go to the source code and copy the link from there..take a look here:

Hi , I have a valid (FULL licence) but in my new site I get (Invalid License Key!). What to do?
