same problem here
I am also having the same issue!
Thanks
Simon
Hi
I’m not from technical support but had a similar issue. If the files are shown in Packages then you can simply copy all your files into httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files providing you keep the filename the same as the file you uploaded in bulk upload.
I hope this helps
Simon
Thanks
Many other users of this plugin must be paying for data that is no longer being used because when the file is deleted in wpdm admin /packages, the actual copy of the file in wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files it is not deleted by your plugin. I have just found 100GB of old PDFs that I have been paying $80 per month for hosting. I hope this reply helps others as this is an important issue as it affects backups too.
Thanks
Simon
I’ve looked in uploads/download-manager-files and found masses of old files that were deleted in wpdm.
This means that you delete them from the database but not the actual file? I wondered why I was being charged so much for storage every month, there is over 100GB of old files!
If I delete all the files in the folder and just upload the new files with the filename as used in Bulk Upload, will this fix my problem?
Thanks
Simon
do you mean, I need to replace the file IN that directory?
Simon
Please can you help as this is urgent!
Any response will be greatly appreciated with regard to the questions above.
Thanks
Please can you advise exactly how much of line #1067 needs to be removed as your example does not show the complete line. If I delete the whole of line #1067, the search no longer works. Or better still, send me the edited wpdm-archive-page.php.
Thanks
Simon

You need to look at http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/?post_type=topic
otherwise it’s 2 clicks to find anything.
Here is an example of my search results page:
[wpdm-search-page cols=”2″ items_per_page=”300″ link_template=”56e6d55ce8036″ position=”top”]

Please login to the back end and check. You will see the – is stripped out.
Simon
WPDM Bulk import strips out the “-” when creating the title from the filename.
This is a bug and I have many brand names in the filename that use “-“. Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz etc…
OK, but this causes a problem as the title is South Africa Edition 1 Coca-Cola.pdf and your software has stripped out the “-” from the filename.
The filename then becomes the title. I need to fix this bug.
Simon
So the bulk import has stripped out all the dashes in my title. This has changed in you last release.
Now I have to work out how to put all the dashes back in the titles.
If I roll back to the previous version and reimport my data, will this work. What version did you make the change?
It does exist in the database. The results are stripping out the – See also Mercedes-Benz.
Please login and look at the database. Also, this worked before the update!
I’ve been trying to fix this for many days now, and one-liner responses are frustrating!!!

BrandSearch Advanced Search
Search:
Coca-Cola
Category:Order By: Order:
Home Search Result For Coca-Cola
No download found!
I have a file called “South Africa Edition 1 Coca-Cola.pdf”, since the last update of Archive-Page, the hyphens are missing in the search and the results. If I search for Coca-Cola, the file is not found. If I search for Coca, the file is found. When I view the PDF and download it, the dash is back again ie: South Africa Edition 1 Coca-Cola.pdf.
Search is stripping out the “-” in the results display.
Please can you get back to me soonest as this is holding up our project.
Hi
Any luck with this?
