Is it safe to use the new update-feature via wordpress-backend?

I attached what I see, before clicking on the download button.
After clicking the download button, the whole box disappears.
I also noticed right now, that the user feedback is missing, when an invalid email was entered.

An page-template is used, which was created in version WPDM 4.3, functioning as described.

Were there any changes according to page-templates between 4.3 and 4.5.1 (besides the changed folder-structure)?
If so, do you have an documentation describing the changes?

BTW: Why is this change log link not visible anywhere? according to bread crumb the change log page is not hooked in main-menu.

You want to customize your download management premium plugin, without loosing customization work with every update?

Me too. πŸ™‚ Because it is 100% not an option to repeat all changes, after an WPDM update is done. Really sad.

@Shaon: You use the string “Download” in more than one specific location? Text change will be reflected everywhere, of course. But isn’t that an argument for yourself to maybe correct this unexpected behaviour in regards of standard localization work, everyone needs to do at some point? πŸ™‚

@Shaon: People pay for this premium support with $$$. Why do you not tell them it might be possible with another tool like WPML?

If all texts were translateable strings, it would be done with a few click on the wordpress backend.

Are all texts in WPDM translateable strings?

Is WPDM really 100% WPML-compatible?

I really do not understand why you make it that complicated. Its that easy.

Think about it.

@Zcrow – FYI: I am just another user who paid for premium-support, willing to help where I can. Your request seems to me like a standard individualization task. But the opinon of premium supporters will differ, I guess. πŸ˜‰

@Zcrow: You may translate original text strings inside wpdm-functions.php with WPML. Example: In english version the text should be i.e. “Enter your email to download” instead of “Subscribe to download”.

Also adding text might be possible up to a certain point via CSS ::before Selector.

Hope that helps. For a premium download management system this task should be considered as a standard feature.

But not here! πŸ™‚

  1. Please confirm you made translateable strings out of the hard coded “processing…” inside file “wpdm-functions.php”.
  2. Please confirm your changes are reflected within todays update (4.4.0 – Oct 01, 2015 (codename: Ultimate)

If so I am able to update without your help.

One more example:

The text “processing…” appears after clicking “subscribe”.

It is not in the .po file. is there a way to also translate this word via WPML?

Please advise how to solve translation…

@Shahriar wordpress backend tells me i use 1.0.0. i downloaded the package a few secs ago from the download area on this website, updated files via ftp.

but i still get the information, that I use email notification add-on v1.0.0.

  1. please make 1.1.0 available for download (on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/download-notifications/ it also tells 1.0.0)
  2. when will 1.2.0 be available?
