Thank you guys for your time. I will look into gravity forms and see if that is a viable solution until this can be implemented. If there is a way that I could be emailed when this is completed that would be great. Thank you again for your time and help.
If I am understanding you correctly then yes. When someone fills out the form I would also like to be able to see what file they downloaded and the email that they used to download that file. And if they download files after entering there email I would also like to be able to see those files too. That may be a bit much to ask for but if it is possible I would like to do that.
Thank you for the quick reply. I have used the form lock before but the issue that I am running into with the form lock is that I can not see what they are downloading it only give me the email from the person when they fill out the form. Is there a way that I can tell what download they have clicked when they fill out the form?
That is perfect. Thank you so much for your time and help. I really do appreciate all the hard work. Thank you for your patience also. I hope you have a great rest of your week and be safe out there.
I have two currently set with the form lock enabled. These files are RS232 Command Sheet
and WPDM TEST
. These are located under Manuals
near the bottom of that section.
I understand that, however is there no way to get the form to pop up when I click download
on https://staging21.getcleartouch.com/downloads
instead of it forcing me back to the top of the page? Currently it does not do this when form lock is enabled. Also if it would help I could do a zoom call or any other form of communication as I believe that will be beneficial in resolving this issue as there seems to be some miscommunication.
Correct, they will show up for all other downloads except those with form lock enabled. With form lock enabled it doesn’t work.
No, sorry. Still getting the same issue. Both href
and data-downloadurl
are being set to #
but only when the form lock is set on the file. With out the form lock it operates as normal. Its as though with the form lock enabled that the download_url
variable on the templates does not get set.
Could you clarify what the CSS issue was and where you found it? I am still seeing the same thing with the login box that you sent in the screen shot when in incognito mode. If I use my wp-login account I can then see the downloads page but only when I am logged into a WordPress account. This is the same as before where I can only view the downloads page when I am logged into WordPress however, for this site we don’t allow others to make accounts so they wouldn’t be able to view the page in its entirety.
Hello @Nayeem Riddhi, the form-lock addon maybe what I am looking for but I will try to explain my use case a little bit better. What I would like to do is set the add-on for all downloadable content on my website however I don’t want people to have to enter the email more than once when visiting my site in order to download multiple items. If there was a database where their email could be registered and they wouldn’t have to enter it more than once that would be great. Or a cookie that says they have entered their email within the last 30 days. Does that help to clarify my use case?
@Shahriar, so it is safe to use the link with “masterkey” in it on a public facing site?
