SO I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A FIX FOR THIS! I POSTED THIS PROBLEM TWO DAYS AGO. WHEN IS MY LICENSE KEY GOING TO WORK?
As I mentioned, I am using the latest version. From your downloads page this morning – version 4.6.3. Also, this site is not public, so I can’t provide you with access. However, a few pieces of information for you:
1. The problem is NOT our firewall. The firewall configuration has not changed in 3 years. The Download Manager software has always worked prior to this latest version.
2.. Your own support forum is filled with other people having the same problem. I noticed at least 6 different people reporting this exact problem in the last few days.
3. I am using the latest available version of Download Manager and I still have the problem (so do many other people).
Please fix this issue (via software patch, issuing a new license key or something) so that your customers can get back to doing their jobs instead of trolling this support forum trying to fix something that is out of their control.
Yes, I can manually reselect an icon to fix it, but I don’t want to have to do this for so many document/packages. It will take a long time to fix so many items.
Please see the attached file. It’s a Word doc containing a screen shot of the properties of two Download Manager Packages. Specifically, notice the default Icon path. All the download manager packages that have a broken icon link display an icon path of:
download-manager/file-type-icons/xlsx_win.png. The actual path to the icon files is: download-manager\assets\file-type-icons
However, the download manager packages that display their icons correctly have a blank path. If I manually edit the icon path of the packages that aren’t working correctly and make the path blank, the icon appears as it should.

I noticed you released 5.4.2. I installed that version a few minutes ago and it didn’t fix the problem. I have about 100 download packages with a broken icon. It looks really bad. Again, this happened as a result of installing 4.5.0. All of my icons were fine prior to this update.
Please provide me with a fix for this!
Is there a fix for this? My site looks terrible with all the missing icons…

I have two questions regarding the limited answer you provided:
1. WHERE do I enable the “individual download” setting you mentioned. When providing an answer you should provide complete instructions so the customer doesn’t have to make multiple posts to this forum in order to get an answer.
2. The MP3 files should be able to be played (streamed) from my site. I don’t want my site visitors to have to download the files. Does the solution you provided enable this?

I’ve tried that. What I need is a way to globally set my custom template as the default template for ALL packages so that I don’t have to set that value on each package. How can I achieve this?
This site is internal and not accessible from the Internet. What can be done?

Thanks for the reply. I’ve got over 350 packages on my site. While your suggestion works, it would be very difficult to manually edit 350 packages. Is there a way to globally set the page template I want? There must be a way to edit a configuration file so that it calls the custom template I created.

Let me restate this question in simpler terms. Let’s say I have one category on a page with forty packages assigned to the category. How can I control which order the packages are displayed? For example, instead of having the packages listed by the date they were created (the default), what if I want the packages sorted alphabetically? I want to control the order in which the packages are listed. Is there a way to do this?
