It worked! Thanks.
Any updates regarding this? The ability to search through a given date range would be fantastic. Right now, it’s extremely manual to have to go month-by-month, note the amount of downloads per day, etc.
Three years after this thread was created, is it possible yet? I’m also interested in something like this. Currently, I’m using wpdm_category shortcodes to display items based on their category, but I’d also like to incorporate tags.
So there’s no way to reset total download and view counts?
That’s disappointing. It seems like searching via tags would be a basic feature. Do you know how long it might take to implement?
Oh, new issue regarding search…
It doesn’t appear to search tags for downloads. For example, I added a tag to several items, yet they aren’t displaying at all when searching for that specific tag. Is this normal? I found this old forum topic, and hoped that this feature would be implemented, even if it required an exact match (better than nothing).
I was previously on version 3.6.8 and installed the latest (3.7.1). Both issues have been fixed!
I will await an update that includes some sort of text when no results are found.
I see now. It’s working perfectly. Thanks.
Pages load, but nothing seems different anywhere when using that modified functions.php file in my child theme.
As a reference, this is the line that I have in my page template that displays the category:
<tr><td>Category</td><td>[categories]</td></tr>
I unfortunately can’t do that as the site is an in-house intranet page.
Yes, you can use custom template for the category page. Template file name is taxonomy-wpdmcategory.php Please check this doc https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/template-files/
I tried this, but it obviously did nothing new as I’m just copying the un-themed archive page into a new file named taxonomy-wpdmcategory.php. I also meant to say that I’d like the layout of the category / archive page to use a link template I created. Pasting shortcodes into my taxonomy-wpdmcategory.php do nothing.
But what about temporary files or uploads that were terminated? Do they show up elsewhere or just disappear?
Do you happen to know where temporary files are stored? I can’t seem to find them. For example, uploads to WPDM that are interrupted.
That worked, thanks. It would be nice if the settings had a toggle to take care of that :).
Ah, perfect. I followed http://ajaxuploader.com/large-file-upload-iis-asp-net.htm, and larger uploads appear to be working perfectly. Thanks.
Big update: It looks like it’s a big in the WPDM 2015 child theme. See the attached screenshot for reference.
I also tried it on a clean install of WordPress with WPDM as the only active plugin, but within a Linux environment. Same issue…
