The login info has been reactivated.
I have seen that in the Update package button showing,
Yes, because I had to hack the CSS to get it to display.
Didn’t see your response, so you want me to deactivate all my plugins and go through them one by one to see if it will fix the problem here?
That problem wasn’t there before the upgrade (with the same theme and plugin list). So the only thing that’s different is download manager. Yes there are 55 plugins, but it’s a huge site and it runs optimally and without issue. Why is it when someone reports a software error it’s always the fault of the person who bought it, or their setup.
You can see from the error logs, it’s faults in the download manager code expecting parameters, or expecting parameters to be a string etc when they’re not. How is that down to one of my plugins?
The reason I upgraded was to solve an error message. I saw there were references to it in the pro forum, but because you won’t let people see that unless they pay again (I’ve paid for this software for years). I bought the new version. I thought upgrading might get rid of the error message, not totally mess up the add download section.
So please act responsibly and see what’s going on with your software, and why it doesn’t work, and don’t expect people to pay for it and then have to dig around for answers.
Hi,
Does this then change the category of the slug or will it just say domain.com/downloads-category/download.zip ?
i.e. Will it do something like domain.com/fruit/download.zip and domain.com/furniture/download.zip
Sorry if I’m not making it clear, just need to know if category is replaced with the actual name of the category?
Also, how do I get breadcrumbs to show the category as well?
I’ve entered the same reply twice marked as private, but it’s not adding to this thread?
Replies in the forum not working.
Hi Shahriar,
Thank you very much indeed for your solution, I tried adding it and visiting a page, and I don’t know why, but the apostrophe’s are still in place? As you can see the download filename has the “julie” removed and just leaves the “‘s.zip” as the filename, which is what you get when you download.

Forgot to say I haven’t tried it in new packages, and the downloads were definitely created in an older version with the batch uploader.
I know it’s probably going to be a database search/replace but I can’t seem to find any “‘s” or “/’s” in the posts table.
Thanks Shahriar, I really appreciate the trouble you’ve gone to, to fix this issue.
Hi,
Thanks Shahriar,
The warnings are getting written to the error_log, but they also show in the query monitor too.
Thanks very much indeed for the fix, I’ll get onto it immediately.
I’m getting this too ? But on my homepage. I’m running the Query monitor and it’s giving me 7 warnings of this ?
It may be connected to trying out adding downloads but cancelling them, if so is there a way to remove blank items?
Thanks, sorry for hijacking but it is the same error.
Thank you very much indeed Sharriar, seems like whatever SEO plugin I use, it causes a problem somewhere on the site. Yoast slows it all down, SEO framework breaks something else!
Very much appreciated.
I’ll leave this one public, in case anyone else has a similar problem it was the “Slim SEO” plugin.
Some options work, adding tags, adding additional images, and the visual editor. The main thing is though that download files can’t be added or an image for them. Looking in the window inspector there’s an error about a file not being loaded via stackpath?
Problem solved BROTLI was enabled on PHP !!! server admin decided it would be an advantage.
So sorry, but at least if this happens again, you’ll have a clue as to why.
Please delete this .. I found the cause, it was another plugin All in one SEO is causing it
