Ah yes, didn’t think of that, thanks.
Thanks, I gave that a try and it broke the breadcrumbs format unfortunately. Also, I wanted to keep the two column custom link templates. Shame that ajax pagination can’t be a setting to turn on or off. Will have to look at another solution.
I am only wanting to apply this icon to files of the .flame type, what you’re showing there is how to change the default icon for all packages without a file type.
Don’t want the default icon to be a flame, just the default icon for all flame types, the same way as there’s a zip icon for all zip types, or a pdf icon for all pdf types.
The issue is that the next and previous scripts aren’t in the same download category. The links you’re clicking on are from different categories. I’d like the next and previous to work within the same download category.
Ok, thanks.
Hi,
Already said no errors showing on pages or packages, just in the error logs.
I try to be reasonable with the support requests I’ve made, but I’ve had to come back to a lot, because they don’t get responded to. Seems like there’s just one guy Nayeem who has to answer all of them. I look at other software and they are responding in a day, or two maximum. Here it can take weeks and weeks.
Please think about getting another person to help, or for the developers to get more involved in answering questions. As a long time customer of WPDM, who pays for support each year I think it could be better. Things just get left, and unless people keep replying to move their requests in the list, they just don’t get answered.
My error log still continues to show these errors and no solution.
It’s really confusing, because I use permalink manager, the URL shows downloads/category/download name and it has an option to set Yoast Breadcrumbs to match the URL. When I do that I get downloads/downloads/category/download name in the URL but Yoast Breadcrumbs looks ok. But the url is broken.
So I disable that option and yoast just gives sitename>category>download name instead of sitename>downloads>category>download name.
Enabling the base category in WPDM doesn’t seem to make any difference. I just want the breadcrumbs to match the url
Files with extension .flame
I add flame.svg to the /download-manager/assets/file-type-icons/ folder it doesn’t show the .svg or if I add a .png either..
in the template I use the shortcode [icon] which works on other file types. You said I’d have to update and add the icon manually for every download, I asked if there was an easier way because there was a lot. I found some code in the core files that looked for an extension match.
Any download that has the .flame extension uses the default icon, unless I add it manually. I don’t really know the structure of the database for download manager well enough to run a SQL query on it.
This isn’t resolved Nayeem, I mentioned that it broke the layout when I did an update, it isn’t about not being able to install the update. Last time I tried it broke the layout on the single download pages by moving the tags out of the main container of the site. Had to restore the old files to fix it. It also broke download links on some downloads as mentioned earlier.
Was asking if those problems had been fixed and if it was safe to try another update?
I noticed another update to 5.2.3 am concerned about updating in case it breaks the layout as no news on this one.
Any news on this ?
Any progress on this ?
Wonder if it’s related to the code I was given to show category titles and descriptions?
Not that I can see ?
Am not using that shortcode, am using the [icon] shortcode in a custom page template. It shows icons when they’re there, but not showing this one for the .flame extension.
Maybe one of the developers would know a way to do this ?
Am not using any shortcodes this is the base category URL for all downloads in the settings of WPDM?
