Hi,
The issue is that the Download > stats are not recording correctly.
Even though a user has hit their download limit (50), when I look at their stats on the dashboard it only shows 10 downloads.
I have also queried the table in the database and it is also only showing 10 downloads, even though the user has downloaded 50xs.
What I need to know/needs to be fixed, is that the actual downloads are being correctly recorded as at the moment they’re not.
Thanks
HI Tahasin,
Thank you for your reply.
I have asked the client to take a screenshot of the webhook and also run a webhook simulator test to see what results we get and I will come back to you.
Thank you for the update on the stats that will be very useful.
Kind regards,
Anna
Hi When we click reconnect it makes the membership active but the payment system changes to Manual rather than PayPal, and we don’t understand why it hasn’t automatically reconnected as it should as a subscription.
Hi,
I’ve checked, and the webhook is in place. I’ve also installed the Advanced Sales Report—will this report include past orders, or only data moving forward?
Additionally, I’ve noticed that the “Subscribers in Downloads” section doesn’t seem to match the actual subscriber data in members. Does this mean the report isn’t applicable?
Currently, members can download everything rather than following a pay-per-download model. We’re looking for a better way to track member subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Hi is there a timeline on when this issue will be fixed and an update available? THis is a critical issue for my client and has been an ongoing issue since we purchased the plugin.
Hi has there been an update that resolves the issue?
HI Tahsin,
I can see the following reply on email but not on here for some reason:

We have received new information regarding a potential issue that our developers suspect might be affecting the download statistics. It appears that some servers may block IPv6 addresses longer than 20 characters. We will be releasing an update to determine if this is indeed the cause of the problem.
Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this matter.

Can I ask if this would be something I need to speak to my Hosting company about, and when it says block what does this mean? as the users who can download do need to be logged in.
Thanks
Hi, I am still having an issue with Stats not being correct which is causing an issue for my client as they need these stats to measure trends and also the member who is downloading what as this helps when working on client projects. For example I can see that Judi Samuels has downloaded at least 5 since we reset the limit as it says 5/60, however when I filter the downloads with her name none are showing.
Can this be looked into further as it isn’t working correctly?
Kind regards,
Anna
I can only see 6.5.8 in the download section which seems to be the one I have on the website?
Thanks Tahasin, I can see an update on the site available for WPDM – Dropbox Explorer – is this the one that needs to be updated or another one?
Thanks
Hi, did you have an update on this issue at all?
Hi Tahasin,
Thank you for your reply, we will increase the limit as suggested.
Another ongoing issue that we seem to be having is that the Stats do not seem to be pulling through all downloads.
For example –
Kathryn Feeley contacted us as she had reached her limit, which we reset for her, however if I search for her as a user in the Downlaod Hostory section, it only shows 1 download (rather than 20) what would the reason for this be?
Thanks
Hi Tahasin,
If a user has 2 roles, i.e Subscriber and Annual membership Subscription is there a way to reset on a daily basis? Or is it a case that we would need to up the limit for Annual and reset if they go over?
What we don’t want to happen is that someone downloads everything on the site and then cancel their subscription.
Hi Nayeem,
The user has tried from Chrome and Edge and neither were recorded in the stats.
Kind regards,
Anna
Hi Nayeem,
It is working logging in with the clients user but is not working when the client does it. Even if it is there browser what could be preventing it from being recorded?
How does the stats get recorded? What could stop it?
As there are multiple users that are not being recorded what could cause this?
If it was just user it would be OK but as this looks like it is quite a few members and the stats are important to see trends and also to ensure that downloads aren’t abused, it is really important that this is solved. So it would be good to know what external factors could stop the stats from being recorded and if anything can be done about it.
Thanks
