Wrong file path created after WP Filebase import

Hello, I have imported all files from WP Filebase, using the WP Filebase import plugin.
The thing is that the file paths that are created in the system, cannot be recognized by the system.

Here is a path as is created by the import plugin “/home/fmgreece/public_html//./alldownloads/fm2020/graphics/kits/Greek-Football-League-by-Mysterio.rar”

Check the image here

The path after all is somehow correct, if your run “cd /home/fmgreece/public_html//./alldownloads/fm2020/graphics/kits/” in command line, it translates to /home/fmgreece/public_html/alldownloads/fm2020/graphics/kits/Greek-Football-League-by-Mysterio.rar where the file really is. However Download Manager cannot understand it and when you try to download the file it gives a “Sorry! File not found!” error.

If I manually replace the filepath with “/home/fmgreece/public_html/alldownloads/fm2020/graphics/kits/” by editing the post, then it works. However this needs to be done for 500+ files, which is not productive.

Any ideas?

Hello,
Have you checked the setting?

If still the problem persists, please reproduce the issue by screen recording using a tool like this and please share the related page/file/package URL with us to get clear idea.

Thanks

The File Browser Root setting is correctly set to “/home/fmgreece/public_html/alldownloads/”
I can’t see how this is relevant to the issue though.

I shared a screenshot in the above post, please check it. This is how the files appear after importing them from the WP Filebase import plugin.
The path gets a “/./” in it, which in command line means “the same directory”, but then when you try to download the file as a user, the system fails with “File not found”

Hello,
You can use the bulk import/export function to update all the filepaths.
Please check and apply this:

Bulk Import

However, as you are using free version of wpdm, it is not supported. In this case you can use the default wp import/export from tools >impor or export or any other thirdparty plugins.

Let me know please if this solves the issue.
Thanks

Hello, I am not using the free version, I am using the Pro version of the plugin.

I am not sure what you are suggesting though, if I use the Bulk Import from my web server, how will I also automatically have the descriptions I have entered in WP Filebase?

Hello,

Sorry for the misunderstanding as you posted in the support forum for free version.
However, Could you please share temporary admin access of your website in a private reply? It helps us to quickly figure out the issue and resolve it immediately.

Thank you

Never mind, I resolved the issue myself.
As I wrote, I am using https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wp-filebase-data-importer/

Inspecting this script, it uses the filepath stored in WP Filebase settings. There it was stored as “./alldownloads”. It worked for WP Filebase but when transfered to Download Manager, Download Manager could not understand this (valid) path annotation.

Check screen

I changed it in WP Filebase, reimported the files and now they paths are simple and they work as Download Manager understands them (eg /home/fmgreece/public_html/alldownloads/fm2020/graphics/kits/Greek-Football-League-by-Mysterio.rar).

Thanks anyway
