Scenario: I need certain files to be accessible to only a single user. I started with WPDM Free, and bought ‘Advanced Access Control’. I uploaded a file, removed every role/group from ‘Allow Access:’ and assigned the ‘Select Members:’ to one specific user. Then I made a page that only has this for content: [wpdm_my_downloads login=1]
Problem: when I’m already logged in, it seems to work OK. If I’m logged out and I hit the URL, this is displayed on the page: ‘[wpdm_login_form redirect='XXXX']‘ (In this post I removed the redirect URL and replaced it with XXXX, but the redirect param looks OK).
It’s like the [wpdm_login_form ...] is not being interpreted as a shortcode or something.
So far, I’ve disabled every plug-in except WPDM and AAC, and changed the theme to 2014 – but that had no effect. It’s a standard shared linux host on GoDaddy – I haven’t tweaked anything on the server. WP is up-to-date.
Bug? Or am I missing something? I don’t want to post the URL on a public forum – the material is somewhat sensitive.
