So it seems that most link templates don’t display the featured image of the download file, which is integral to the purposes of the site I’m working on.

I’ve gotten the “tabbed card” template to work, but there’s a problem where, if you click on the “Package Info” tab of any card, it opens the “package info” tab of (only) the first card on the page. Is it possible to edit the files somewhere to remove the tabs entirely? I don’t think we need them for our purposes. As a largely unrelated question, is it possible to somewhere change the text of all download buttons to be the same? In a previous version of this plugin (we updated recently, and I suspect that a previous developer had added some custom code which has been overwritten) the file name was hidden, and we used the download link/button to have the file name. Now that the file names are again visible, I’d like to change the button to simply say “Download” without having to manually update our 600+ file entries. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I can provide our website URL and a Subscriber level guest username and password if there’s someplace private I can send it to.

Need to check it from backend, if possible you can give or you can check from Downloads > Settings > User Interface enabling/disabling styles/scripts, let me know please if those help you,

thanks

I am afraid that changing the options did not help. Is it possible to simply disable the tabs on the tabbed card template, or disable the file size and download count indicators on the regular card template?

Really the only elements that we need to display for each download is the featured image thumbnail, and the download button. So far, the “Card” templates appear to be the only ones to display the thumbnails by default.

For disabling the file size and download count indicators, you can customize related page/link templates according to your requirements, thus you shall get your desired view,

thanks

Making edits to the templates requires the paid version, correct? I will talk to my employer to determine how he would like to proceed.

Edit: After talking with my boss, he’d be wiling to purchase the paid version if we can make the changes as you say. How would this be done? I assume there’s a customization menu?

Yes, there is available edit and clone menu for your templates in PRO, however, you can also edit the templates PHP file from plugins > download-manager > tpls folder and follow this doc too, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/template-files/

thanks
