I have installed your addon to integrate WPDM into Elementor. (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/download-manager-addons-for-elementor/)
I managed to create an Elementor theme for the individual downloads pages: https://pmo.administracaodotempo.com.br/download/swot/
But I’m not able to create element themes for download categories, all category pages are coming out with this unattractive layout: https://pmo.administracaodotempo.com.br/download-category/aquario/
And the subcategories of the categories do not appear.
I would like to know how I use your plugin addon to pull Download Manager categories and subcategories dynamically on Elementor pages.
can you help me?
Hello Henry Douglas,
Hope you are well. And sorry for the inconvenience. Are you using specific templates for demonstrating the categorized download files/packages? please elaborate on your issue. if possible, can you please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue?
Thank you and regards
Hello, yes, I’m using specific Elementor templates to show categorized downloads.
I would like the downloads categories to display the category’s downloads and also the child subcategories.
I will send you access via private message.
Thanks for helping.
For categories and subcategories hierarchy, can you please check this add-on demos and examples from here,
please check and let me know, if it helps for you.
Thank you again and regards
But will this plugin work for me to create an Elementor template for category pages?
I ask, because I have the Elementor addon that you developed installed.
I tried to create an Elementor theme for download manager categories and it’s not working.

I don’t know if I’m missing the conditions:

download manager categories are coming out looking like this:
https://pmo.administracaodotempo.com.br/download-category/aquario/
I am afraid to make this investment and not solve my problem.
No, with elementor it may not come out with help. but you can also use https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/gutenberg-blocks/ this add-on too. please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
Thanks for the feedback
I solved my problem in the best possible way without using Elementor: https://pmo.administracaodotempo.com.br/download-category/inclusao-social/ (using a template from WPDM itself)
But I still have a problem: The subcategories and their files do not appear.
The category page linked above, has the subcategories: “Attachments” and “Auxiliary_files”.
How do I make subcategories appear on WPDM’s category archives pages?
We are checking the issue and already forwarded the issue to the team developers. you shall be updated accordingly if any updates come.
Thank you again and regards
For global settings for category page template, when selecting style once will apply to all cats and subcats is only available with the pro version. Now, with the free version, you need to configure template settings for each category separately from the edit category page.
Also, templates are customization is pro version.
In free version, you need to edit template file directly to adjust styles.
Doc:
I have same problem. Using the gutenburg-blocks, when you try to list packages by category, you can only manually select the categories. It should dynamically pull the category from the archive. I know it pulls, because if you use just the regular ‘archive post’ block from WordPress on the same page, it pulls just the packages from that category
@coachyoung, please create a separate post and add login info in a private reply to check your issue.
