Relevant downloads displayed, based upon input the site visitor gives?

Hello,

Basically, we’re after a way where a front-end visitor is shown the correct software download, based upon input that the visitor supplies.

There is a single Hardware Product that has been built and sold for quite a few years. The most recent versions of said hardware use different chips compared to older versions. And this has resulted in two different (but concurrent) versions of the software updates. With the actual unit hardware looking and acting identically to the human eye, then the customer would be blissfully unaware of which chipset their unit is using and thus which download is relevant.

Our client has a database of serial numbers and which serial is either old-or-new version. So, basically, is there a way within WPDM where the site visitor could be made to manually input their product’s serial number and this would be checked against the said database and then the relevant version of software download displayed?

I know that the above is sounding very “bespoke”, but I’m hoping there’s something I’m missing within WPDM that could be used to achieve this?

Thanks!

Hello,
Hope you are well.
Actually there is no exact addon of us according to your requirements.
However, you can check our below addon where you will be able to set downloads based on the specific users.

Advanced Access Control

In this case you can select users using their registered email or user name registered to your website and set the available downloads for individual users.

Thanks
