Hello,
we are planning to buy the Pro version, but still have several questions about it.
1. In the free version, when uploading MP3 files from the media library, no download is enabled in the frontend. Instead, the MP3 file is opened in a new window in the audio preview player. Is this correct or is this a bug?
2. We are planning to use the add on WPDM – File Cart. If I read it correctly, the function can not be used in the table view. Am I wrong here?
If yes, can the function be alternatively integrated in the button template and used via a separate table in a separate programmed template?
It is important for us that the function can be used from an overview and not only on the detail page of the download file.
I am looking forward to your reply.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,
I have tested uploading mp3 file from the media library, it is working fine in the pro version and for the table view can you please more elaborate on this requirement
thanks
Hi Nayeem,
Thank you very much for the quick feedback.
Regarding point 1:
I am reassured if the error only occurs in the free version or did I configure it incorrectly here.
Attached is an example. https://t1p.de/l3qu
Maybe you have a hint for me.
To point 2:
It is important for us that the file cart function can be used on the overview pages (for example: https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/package-list-in-responsive-table/ ). According to your documentation I understood it so that the “file_list” tag in the template can call the function. Is that correct? Can our requirements be realized with the add on?
I am looking forward to your feedback.
Can you elaborate on https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/package-list-in-responsive-table/ this page requirement, please let me know
thanks
Thanks for your feedback.
We need a column in this view to execute the File Cart function. The ideal would be to display the “Plus” icon, so that when you click on it, you add the file to the File Cart.
Are my requirements feasible and understandable?
I am looking forward to your feedback.
Yes, I have understood your issue, can you please check the demo page here, https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/addons/download/try-file-cart-add-on/, you can check the attached files tab option for cart adding option, please then let me know
thanks
Great. That looks good after all.
Is it possible to display the function of “attached Files” for cart adding option, in a column inside package list in responsive table (https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/package-list-in-responsive-table/)?
Yes, you have to use [file_list] template tag in your link template, like here for shortcode, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_packages-wp_query-in-a-shortcode-for-download-manager-packages/, sample demo is here, https://wpdmpro.w3eden.com/file-cart-for-shortcode/
thanks
Great. This is exactly the function we need.
One final question. I understand it correctly that the [file_list] template tag can only be used for individual files or can I also display the attached files including the [file_list] template tag in a link template?
Thank you very much and happy holidays.
Yes, you got the right
thanks
Hi Nayeem,
this is really the last query now;)
Does the File Cart also work with Amazon S3 or must the files be stored in the media library?
I look forward to your feedback.
When attaching a file from the media library, it is added as URL, for URL ( local or remote ), only single file download will work, I think you would better use uploading file from select files option, it is working fine for file-cart option
thanks
Fine. Thanks for the quick reply.
I wish you happy holidays.
You are welcome too,
thanks
