Protect file option for “Editor” role no longer visible in Media files

Hello, does anyone know why the option to protect a file from the Media Library for specific roles has disappeared? I have checked all settings but cannot find anything related to this.

Under Settings > Basic > File Browser Access, I have “Editor” selected. Previously, editors were able to protect files, but now the option is completely gone from the Media Library.

Has anyone run into this before or know what might be causing it? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Admir Bosnjakovic,

Hope you are well. If you are using the WPDM Pro, the setting option residing in Downloads > Settings > Media Files Access Control section as I image attached,

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to respond. No, I am not using the premium version. I am using the free version, and this was working before. It seems that some changes were made. Is there really no way to make this work anymore with the free version, and are we now required to upgrade to the Pro version?

For now, the capability available for Administaror only in the free version. You can upgrade too to the Pro version, it has lots of extended features. Please kindly check.
