Hi there,
I have loads of PDFs on my site within my assets folder, and they have been indexed in Google, so people can directly access them without going to the page they are associated with on my site.
They are just uploaded to the media library, so are not created within Download Manager.
How can I use Download Manager to redirect these to the pages they appear on so my site gets the views from these PDFs. I really don’t want people to be downloading my documents without viewing the articles they are associated with.
There are about 900+ PDFs on my site that seem to have this issue!
Here is a single example:
PDF as indexed by Google: https://www.kiddycharts.com/assets/chupachups-lollipop-decorations.pdf
Article the PDF appears in: https://www.kiddycharts.com/printables/free-chupachups-lollipop-templates/
I had no idea this was happening to my media library files, and have been told Download Manager is a great way of solving this. The Asset files can be redirected to their associated pages somehow.
Thanks,
Helen
P.S. I would like to do this without affecting the PDF creation in my chart builder, so want to be careful anything I do is specific to the assets that are associated with articles. Here are my chart builders FYI: https://www.kiddycharts.com/store
