Preserve template file when upgrading

Hi!
I created two custom templates and saved them in the tpls directory (…/wp-content/plugins/download-maneger/tpls) but whenever I update plugin, those same templates are deleted.
How do I preserve these files in an update?

You can keep your tpls file in your theme, please follow this doc, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/template-files/.

You can keep your file {active-theme}/download-manager/tpls dir as per your need.
