I would like to use the email lock. When the user clicks the link sent in the email, a new tab is opened in the browser, and the file download begins. All good, except only a blank page is shown, and I would like to render some html for the user to see in the download tab–something like:

Thanks for downloading our awesome program!

I’ve tried various actions and filters, but nothing seems to show up. Is what I want possible?

Thanks, but there’s not really a URL as such. I’m just testing. I just wished to know if there is a method to display some content after the user clicks the download link which comes in the email.

In order to test it, you could visit https://agilatech.com/download/lynxari-2-0-0-linux-x64/ and then agree to the terms, and then enter your email, and then click the link in the email.

Thanks

Anyone else managed to display a web page when downloading from an email link?

Hi,
Yes, that is not possible. But here is an alternative solution:

Lazy Download Add-on
